Unbeatable really means unbeatable

This might be just me but I swear the drivatars on unbeatable and sometimes even pro difficulties pull off corners like they are on rails. I was competing in the last midnight battle against the Lamborghini murcielago last night and he was absolutely flying through corners way faster than I could come close to even after I custom upgraded and tuned a Ferrari 458 with AWD up into S2 at 989. That’s not the only time I’ve noticed this but it was definitely the most obvious. I prefer to drive lower class cars and keep them RWD so I know I’m going to slide around more but even in C class the unbeatable drivatars whip around corners like they weren’t even there while my car feels like it’s got greased up tires on an ice rink (Partially the tune I like to slide a little). It just seems like the drivatars are operating outside the normal bounds of physics. I know they are supposed to be a challenge but sometimes they can really get me frustrated.

I remember in FH2 the drivatars would have a higher top speed than normal to catch up on straights but now they seem to be able to warp through corners at Mario kart speeds but I don’t have red turtle shells to slow them down with. But like I said from the start, maybe I’m just not good enough to hang with the unbeatables. I run no assists with sim steering and clutch and I hit top 1% leaderboard times consistently in forza 6 and on past horizons but that might not be enough to hang with the AI. So for now I will race them on pro to keep competitive.

Even on the easiest difficulty they are like that. Just like you described. They just glide through corners and I’m either sliding out or going so slow to make the turn that they pass me.

Nah it’s not just you, I agree. I prefer the lower level racing too, but on the higher difficulties I’m struggling against some cars that take corners that would put me flying backwards to New Zealand if I tried at the same speed…

i’ve beaten them on unbeatable before. It’s not impossible. Car Upgrades

More tuning… I use either a raceboy77 tune or my own and I race on unbeatable for all circuit and sprint races (scrambles on unbeatable with no rewind are so frustrating, those damn rocks when im trying to be a little cheecky with my cuts)

In FM6 unbeatable is easy but in FH3 even highly skilled is difficult.

But then again FM6 runs butter smooth 60fps with no dips and FH3 is a 25 fps mess

Forza 6 was similar during early access, just the other extreme, every Drivatar was constantly ramming. I think it has to do with the servers being not populated enough to get decent Drivatars in every AI level. Give it a week after public release and it should be sorted out. I use to race against Pro AI in Forza 6, here I start to struggle on Above Average in some races. A lot comes down to getting the right car, though. I can win in pretty much every car in Forza 6 but in Horizon 3 it seems like the one with the highest speed rating is the one to go for. Which is a bit sad as it makes some (untuned) cars totally pointless.

Hi, I can beat them 99% of race , any car, have to ofcourse upgrade and tune car.

I’ve found my happy medium at Expert/Pro but I like racing lower class D/A classes because once you get into S class the drivatars start driving LMGT cars which is annoying cause they straight up grip anywhere.

When you start racing at Unbeatable you can’t expect to just take any car and win. You have to have the right car at the right tune, and of course have the right skills.

Make sure that you have the best car because otherwise its really hard… I do most my races on unbeatable but I have to use rewind to make sure I hit every corner perfect.

When a Veyron can out-turn a fully upgraded LaFerrari you know somethings wrong. They seem to catch up so easy as well and are able to brake much later. Lower classes are easier to beat them

unbeatable difficulty means you might have to actually practice the course a couple times; its not like you would just roll up to autocross courses and win first time every time in the real world! enjoy the challenge of pushing your limits and getting better!

This is the answer. Course knowledge and familiarity is much more important than having the most tricked out car. Course knowledge takes time and lots of laps and rivals challenges really getting to know every wrinkle. Getting to know the car is important too, much more important than the cars actual stats. It takes time to learn the cars and the courses. You can’t just jump in a car, throw a quick upgrade and tune on it, take a practice lap or 2 and then beat the tougher AIs. The game is only 3 days old. In a few more weeks if you really play a lot you should be able to crush the AIs.

Use A class or s1. When it comes to s2 or x they are crazy fast.

I’m on Pro right now. I HAVE to have an upgraded car to stand a chance. I know their cars are upgraded to match, but it’s kinda silly how GOOD they are with what they have. Here’s an example I saw from a Failrace (I think) video. He had a custom Impala, slammed, downforce, etc. and he’s doing a race on Pro or Unbeatable or something, and the AI cars are on rails, despite the cars sitting 2 feet in the air and rocking back and forth hard upon braking and acceleration. These classic cars are the epitome of a sleeper and would roast LMP cars given the chance. Still had the white walls and everything, which is a sign of stock tires, and yet had 2000HP, a handling rating of 22.6, and a “give-a-fxxx” rating of less than zero.

I know I’m not a slow driver I have spent an unhealthy amount of time playing all the forza games and usually I can get the better of the drivatars. I just recently posted a clean 2:57 on the c class muscle monthly rivals challenge in a RWD 70 camaro which put me in fourth place a few hours ago. But when I race that same car against unbeatable drivatars I barely finish first even with a top speed of 180 and an 8.1 accel stat. Those drivatars just scoot through corners like slot cars on a track.

Yes, you can win on unbeatable, but there is also something going on with the drivatars. I did one 25 lap race and won by a lot, nobody in the rearview at the end, and my fastest lap was at the top of the leaderboard at the time. But then when I looked at the post-race standings, my fastest, top of the leaderboard lap was only the 6th fastest lap in that race … and those other cars could not possibly set those kinds of times in human hands, no matter the build, no matter the tune.

So I’ve chosen some slower cars just to see how the drivatars are racing and there’s some crazy stuff going on. Cars are just pulling on straights like the tune had no regard for corners, but in corners, the cars are on rails. I got passed in a corner by an SUV who was doing at least 20 mph faster than me in the corner on two wheels. The two left tires were at least 18 inches off the ground while he was turning 20 mph faster than me, no joke.

So, yeah, you CAN win on unbeatable, but that doesn’t mean the AI is playing fair.

Keep in mind that upgrading is essentially meaningless if you’re looking for an edge over the AI.

The game looks at your car’s PI when you start a race, and upgrades the AI cars to match (usually to within +/- 5 pts of your car).

In a way, when you upgrade your car, you’re upgrading EVERYONE’S car. Tuning can give you an edge since it doesn’t change the PI, but for all intent and purposes, there’s no difference difficulty-wise between entering a stock vehicle and a class-topping one.

Sorry mate but I disagree.

Applying the right upgrades will give you an edge.

Tuning will give you an edge.

The AI will most likely use an auto upgrade.

To the OP that last Midnight Battle is one of the few races where difficulty is off the chart.

And unbeatable needed to be made harder since last time to provide allcomers a challenge.
