I was just wondering if there is a fix or will be a fix for this freezing issue. it started happening after i had update the game ever since i can’t really play the game without it freezing.
EDIT: Thanks man, i tried installing it and downloading the update again the game it more playable with less freezing. My big issue is how much it happens when i play online.
While I have only played the game for about 6 hours or so (just got it today), I haven’t had a single issue. But I did install my game to the hard drive. If you don’t have the game installed to the hard drive, try that. If it still does it, then it could possibly be your disc drive going out.
So install the game to the hard drive first. Here’s how to do that if you don’t know how.
- Turn on the console (obviously, lol)
- Put the Horizon 2 disc in the drive, and close it (obviously again)
- Highlight Horizon 2 and hit the ‘X’ button
- Wait for a moment until the ‘Install’ option shows up, then click A on Install
Next, after you’ve done that, it’s a good idea to clear your system cache. It’ll remove the system update, but luckily it isn’t very big at all (provided you have internet, some people don’t). If you don’t know how to do that, do the following:
On the dashboard, press up (d-pad or left analog stick), then scroll all the way to the right. Next, select System settings. Then go to the storage option. Next, highlight the hard drive, and hit the ‘X’ button. This next step is key. Be sure to ONLY select ‘Clear System Cache’. You can easily reformat your hard drive if you’re not careful. Did that once while drunk. Luckily, I keep a full back-up hard drive just in such a scenario, that I update weekly.
If you still have issues, then you’ll have to contact forzafb@microsoft.com with your issue, and they may be able to help. I hope one of the options I stated helps out. I listed the steps for all of the options, not because I don’t think you know, but because I can’t be sure. Also, I did it this way for anyone else who looks in this thread for the same issue to see if anything fixes it, they may not know all of this, especially if they’re new to the out-of-date Xbox 360… Sadly, I still haven’t upgraded yet, but my 360 still works, for now.
