I have already contacted Xbox Support and attempted every option (hard reset/reinstall x2/clear cache/etc, except factory reset). However, a solution wasn’t able to be found. I was just assisted by a Xbox Rep and was suggested to contact the devs, but I couldn’t seem to find a chat/call support from T10 or PGG. So, I’ll just post in the forums.
I bought FH2 day one and never had problems with the game. I joined the Preview Program and even then I had no problems. Then several months ago I began having disconnecting issues. A few weeks pass and I started having an issue finding a lobby. It would either party me up alone in a lobby or was not able to find one. This caused me to stop playing for a few months and I played other games instead. Now, two weeks ago, I decided to launch Forza. So, this time it would freeze on the title screen (where the slideshow of cars are shown) after pressing A to load my profile. I tried again, but same outcome. I did a hard reset, but that didn’t work. I reinstalled the game, but that failed as well. I contacted Xbox Support and I was suggested to do hard/cold resets, clear cache, remove/add my profile to sync the game, and reinstall the game once more. Everything failed to fix the issue. The Rep I chatted with just now, told me there doesn’t seem they could do anything and he believed it was an issue with the game. So, I hope I could get help from the devs and people here who have had similar situation.
So, just to make things clear.
Forza began freezing on the title screen. It would load for 3 seconds after pressing A, then the game would freeze but the music is still playing in the background. Here is a clip of what I am experiencing.
Keep in mind, the NXOE update was already released to everyone and I am still in the Preview Program. Also, Xbox had addressed a syncing issue in a update for Preview members. However, that did not fix the problem. Not to mention that all of my other games work fine. FH2 is the only game that I am having issues with.
I tried hard/cold resetting, reinstalling the game twice, clearing the cache, remove/add account and delete local save to prompt a sync with the game (which by the way, each sync took around 1 1/2 hours to complete), resetting MAC settings, and verifying my purchase of the game. All done under the assistance of Xbox Support. Not one of the options worked and I am now asking the Devs for help.
