xbox one install frozen at 90%

Has anyone else had this, fell asleep last night after it had been on 89% for nearly two hours and then woke up this morning, turned it back on this morning and it’s only on 90% now, it’s starting to frustrate me now I just wanna play forza!!!

Have you checked your free space ?

Already performed a “hard reset” to the console and tried it again ?

It’s a brand new console, got it out the box, set it up and forza horizon 2 is my first game so the first thing installed on it, it’s now on 96% and I started installing the game at about 7 o clock last night lol

Is it a disc game or a digital game?

For future reference:

When installing disc games, if it prompts you about an update you should decline. Updates require an active internet connection to download and install whereas the disc does not. By declining the update the content on the disc will install rather quickly. You can then launch the content, be prompted for the update, and accept. You still have to download and install the update but it’s quicker and easier for the console to do because less is going on.

I’m not sure if you have this option with digital game copies but if you do, I suggest you also decline the update until the game has fully installed. Also, make sure that all your other games and apps have been properly quit and that you aren’t doing anything else that would provide stress to your internet connection - the game size and update can be massive. Last time I re-installed Forza Motorsport 5 the update size was 14.5 GB in addition to the game size of around 40.
