I would like to know this as well, Are Microsoft ever going to update their Controller driver for windows to take advantage of the home button and haptic triggers? I would love to have the home button either Alt+Tab or Shift+Tab ingame.
It should all work the same way if the Studio’s intent is to convey the subtle niceties of the game to PC users.
Update: OK, I don’t play PC games, period! But I’m making an exception in this case even though the idea of me sitting in my bedroom with a controller connected to my PC and staring at a 23 inch monitor is not cool with me at all, there are 1000 points up for grabs here that are sorely needed for me to get into tier 8 and beyond. So I’m all for this now. It will be mostly of a sidebar, but I’m in. I also downloaded from Codemasters recently F1 2013 just to memorize the Indian and Korean F1 circuits that are no longer on the F1 calendar and the controller works fine with it, but no feedback on the triggers as this game was developed before the controller’s introduction. But I’m sure the impulse triggers will convey the required haptic feedback as in FM6.
This is their 1st dip in the waters of PC gaming for the franchise, pretty sure they understand the importance of a good first impression, and will likely try and achieve exact parity to what players expect of Forza
Well Finally a game on PC that actually supports the trigger force feedback, It took my by surprise as no games i have played on PC uses it, sad really cause i rather enjoy it
Left trigger lets you know your tires are locking up/losing grip, right trigger lets you know you’re putting too much power down/losing grip. That’s basically the gist of it. Either trigger lets you know you’re pushing it too far for the car to grip.
Yeah it depends on car and tune but the brakes are a bit touchy. On console you can adjust the brake pressure after upgrading the brakes, not sure if you can adjust it on PC. Haven’t even checked it out yet. lol
