I have been here long enough to know that people steal paints. FM3 Auction house had a bug that people exploited, to unlock paints and re-sell the cars… ehem… Bruce Lee… ehem.

And yes I do believe that anyone that re-does a REAL LIFE Livery is a thief. The artist is definitely skilled at replicating the look of the car, but where is the credit for the people that designed the REAL car. They should be making money off of it too, right?

So if I do a Paint, it will always be something original. I wasted some time doing the cover car from Forza 2, and realized, that I was duping something that likely required multiple people to create. None of them got credit for my work.

The real point, was that you have a Hot Wheel, that you can drive in Forza. Whether or not you get the paint from the creator’s storefront, whom you may have never heard of, or from the code in the box, which secretly links to the Seller’s storefront, with a token to download it for free, along with the Actual Hot Wheel, that is now in your hand, or on your shelf, or having its wheels dented by your kid.

Like Dragnet says, if there is money in it, it will happen… The only thing I am getting at, is would you buy them.

Nice idea, but Forza is the wrong place. At the end of the day though the majority of Hot Wheels cars can, in theory, be made in Forza using the paint editor anyway =)

This is the other way around… You are not replicating a Hot Wheels car, you are getting the car you can drive in FORZA.

Replication of a Hot Wheels Livery is usually a basic process… put car on knee, add some squares, and text, and bam… livery.

With the advent of these new micro printing solutions, Hot Wheels can apply your paint to a car with the right template. I have a Hot Wheels that has Swedish Chef on it. The detail is beyond what most people can imagine doing on Forza… Imagine if Someone (LittleVixen) were to have her own set of 5 cars your could buy. Would you do it? you are basically only getting 5 Hot Wheels cars and 5 tokens to download the paints, but hey too childish right?

I don’t understand the Double-standard, its cool, but not cool enough for Forza?
