Okay. They did state they made the handling easier. Maybe you just cant drive properly? Either way making a thread was not needed, simply return your copy. Open world racing games are not for you.
OP, name any other racing games with open world that will provide better physics. Or, at least, any non-Forza game on XBOX One. I’ve got no issues with physics at all: steering response is ok, delays are minimal, torque distribution is pretty tolerable, you can feel car weight.
Sounds like someone doesn’t know how to drive. If it were really nerfed so as you say, “people who can’t drive can still win against people who can” why aren’t you winning? Wouldn’t it also mean that the people who are good drivers and know how to drive well would still win because regardless of what the handling model is the better racer will do better regardless? Your logic is flawed.
Second, you said, “they should have used the physics models from Forza 4 or 5…” Maybe you missed it, but the Xbox 360 game was based on the Forza Horizon 1 model whereas the Xbox One game’s handling and physics ARE based on the forza 5 model.
I’d love to say you’ll be missed, but I don’t know you and based on this one post alone, can’t say I’m sad seeing you leave.
Just on the OP in my opinion as far as open road games go FH and FH2 are the most realistic. That does not mean they are sims though. Its just that compared to NFS, Burnout, The Crew the handling in FH and FH2 do require some amount of “care” just not as much as the FM games.
Here you go OP. Realist racing game I’ve every played. Graphics and handling are on point. Give it a try if FH2 is to much like an arcade racer for you.
GTA can get away with silly car physics IMO as it isn’t strictly a “driving” game. They could be better, but they’re good enough for what you need to do with them.
Are you kidding me?! The collision and roll physics are far better than any Forza game. You can actually P. I. T. maneuver mowfoes realistically. There are car crashes in traffic that amaze me sometimes. And collision physics in Horizon are minimal, mostly bricks on wheels (or slot cars IMO).
Horizon still has the best freeroam driving for a sim/cade game.
No, you’re absolutely right, there ARE a handful of things GTAV does better than FH2 as far as cars go, my personal short list being collisions, driver animations, the ability to operate droptops, headlights and horns, and the ability to shut off and exit the vehicle.
All things considered though, GTA driving is like a tiny phart on a VERY windy day compared to ANY Forza game.
