Just wanted to highlight this - Breeminator’s '08 Viper is a great build. Corners like it’s on rails, and makes the championship a breeze.
Just got this new Chevy Chevelle, and I have a problem with that car, because I can choose it for race, but I can’t see it in my garage or in “My Cars” menu. Does anyone has the same problem? Should I submit a ticket or something?
Meh that Chevelle is nothing to cheer about. It’s the exact same as the other old muscle cars. They all have the same generic souped up souped up blower upgrade preset and it’s nothing special or unique. When I try to make it into something interesting like a track toy, I can only get 1.7 lateral G’s out of it.
I’ve done the Trial 4 times so far. Despite getting fairly good teams, despite performing pretty well over all, at some point or other, it all seems to fall apart.
That feeling you get, on lap 2 of the 2nd race, when you and most of your team have a strong lead, more than enough to make up for the couple of stragglers in last place; that feeling is false hope. Because sooner or later, either you, or a teammate will mess up and miss a checkpoint or eat a wall, or flub a jump.
The worst was when I somehow got knocked off a ramp, which caused me to flip over, and when I respawned, I was pinned between the ramp and a building. I almost quit then, but then I noticed that the team was still in the lead, and an AI got trapped in there with me, so if I could just stay ahead of that stuck AI, I could at least secure some points for the team. There was still hope. So I fought my way out and back into the race, even managed to catch up. But at some point along the way, the rest of the team fell apart. I don’t know what happened. I was too far behind to see. But they suddenly dropped back to the middle of the pack.
It’s late. But I can fit in one more race. One more try. But then my wife comes in, and says that if we want to see The Avengers on Saturday, that we’d better get tickets. But she can’t load the page, because I’m playing multiplayer and hogging all the bandwidth. I can’t drop out now. Sure, we lost the first race, but we’re pulling ahead. There’s still hope. I’ll just see how this race goes, and then decide.
But then two AI pass me out of nowhere. Then pass my teammates. The whole line falls apart on the 3rd lap. Coming up to the home stretch, I somehow miss the last checkpoint before the finish line, and drop from something like 4th to 9th. We’re down 2 nothing, and I have to wait for the next race to load before I can quit out. And we don’t even have movie tickets to show for it.
The vehicles just aren’t very good at it, TBH, they’re not very stable, so it is easy to have it all go wrong. I had one drivatar finish ahead of me in one of the 3 races, which is fairly rare. All you can really do is try to learn which bits can be problematic and back off a bit for them.
The trial this week further proves buggies dont belong in ANY cross country event. They are not good at plowing through any offroad obstacles. I spun on numerous times

I’m not a big fan of buggies/cross country either but I managed to complete this week’s Trial at the first time of asking using an Alumi Craft 10 tuned by MITARO360 - a tuner I found at random a while ago who seems to do good off-road/dirt/rally tunes. Well they work for me anyway so I thought I’d share.
OK this weeks community tracks;
The first one point to point rally. At the start a few too many postage stamp size check points - you dont have to do that. The check point through the gate down onto the bridge is also too small, and the first couple of check points into the quarry are too small and unnecessary. Just because the road/ gate to smash is small, doesnt mean the check point has to be narrow - allow some width for run off. Other than that it was a good course, corners telegraphed well and good check point placement on the hairpins.
The cross country circuit. Generally good apart from the hairpin near the end where you blind jump into it. If the check point was a bit wider to accommodate keeping some speed over the jump if would be better(?) - as it is you have to brake down hill to get around. - surprising at first but i got used to it. Generally good vision on the corners. I like the cross over and the bit across the frozen water.
Very good track imo. A vast improvement over last week.
While I agree with generally not liking buggies in cross country, I surprised myself by actually doing well (for me) as I placed in the top half in 2 of the three races. I also was on a good team, which helped. In one of the races our team top 5 of the 6 top places. The AI was not doing well at all.
I completed the trial on the 1st try too but still it was a hassle to keep that Exocet straight going over 100. The steering is extra extra sensitive
I will say this about the trial; I may be struggling with it, but I am actually doing pretty well against the AI, and I’ve gotten some pretty good teams. No jerks, collisions are most likely accidental and don’t mess me up too much. So I almost don’t mind.
Someone was using a Ferrari in the seasonal playground games event. How is that possible when the restriction is A800 off-road?

I also have seen a Ferrari and a Porsche both X99
I got lucky with the Trials and had a good team, even though I picked the wrong tune for the events, too stiff for all the jumps. Hard to control the landings and keep going straight. But still one and done so I can’t complain this week.
like any game there is a difficulty level configuration in FH. Issue is they did set cars as the only top reward. As a consequence, if they don’t want to suffer rage of many players they have to make it easy to get.
Associating challenge for veterans requires another rabbit. Something that would be attached to the profile of the winners for few days like a special tag or a special color for their level display.
Additionally, level of difficulty should be the % and not ONLY the level of drivatars. Unbeatable should require at least 100%
A playlist ‘Hall of fame’ could list players along with difficulty level and collision score.
I have a question, why is it that if you win the first two events of the trial, you have to do the third?

I have a question, why is it that if you win the first two events of the trial, you have to do the third?
Until the good folks at PG unravel this mystery, I will interpret that third event as some sort of “victory lap”, wherein humans mercilessly dab all over the allegedly unbeatable Drivatars.
I thought they posted that they fixed it?

I thought they posted that they fixed it?
Not in the Trial.

I thought they posted that they fixed it?
They fixed it in Playground Games but not in the championships.
