Wings on Indy Cars

Has anyone figured out how to not make any logos you put on the stock rear wing of an Indycar not bleed onto the side or to make the color of the exterior side of the wing different than the wing itself? Also, anyone figured out how to avoid the mirror image issue on the stock front wing? Or how to get the left exterior side of the wing to be a different color than the wings themselves? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you put the oval wings on (both front and back), everything lines up much more nicely. It’s a shame that the IndyCars are all mapped differently. The #1 Chevy is mapped the best, in my opinion. The #9 Honda has an issue where if you paint the right rear side-skirt thing, it mirrors incorrectly on the left side. So annoying.

So yeah, I guess the short answer is to put all of the oval adjustments on, and it will make it more manageable.

As Mick said, use the #1 Chevy. Aside from the top of the undertray and the endplates not being paintable, everything else is fine. The road course front wing mirrors the decals, but you can just get a mirrored version of a logo by using the “copy all from left/right”. The front wing endplates are also mapped on the opposite sides, so you have to place mirrored decals at 421,-75 on the right side, and -445,-61 on the left side.

On the Honda, at least on the #9, for some reason the left front wing endplate only seems to be paintable when the car is painted with chrome (maybe other special colors also, haven’t tried those yet though). The road course front wing is pretty much pointless to do unless you have a symmetrical logo, same with the rear pods in superspeedway configuration.

The rear wing endplates on all the cars is mapped in a way so that it is placed vertically on top of the main element of the wing, so your only real option is to place a stripe of color along the front section of the wing. Unfortunately, as it is mapped vertically, anything placed here will be shown as vertical stripes if it has multiple colors, so you can’t really place any logos here.
