With FH5 we had our first Lets Go livestream on eday after the gameplay reveal.
Do you think we will get something like those streams again?
I would expect so. It’s something that’s worked in the past very well in terms of showcasing new features and getting the developer’s input and perspective. It would be weird if they didn’t do this and just decided to shadow-drop details at randomly every couple of weeks. It also serves as a way for them to promote the game, which they desperately need. I expect we’ll get more info on this in the next 2 weeks.
That would be cool. Once a week start unveiling the car list like they did in previous forzas.
For the love of god I hope not. Let’s get people who have zero knowledge about racing games to host the live stream. Yea great idea.
Get a dude who actually plays them. Not some clueless weirdos. Sorry but look at the demographics. This is male dominated. It just is. Some might even call me woke but this is absurd even to me.
I mean, nobody forces you to watch those live streams, you can just ignore them and then get the infos from your fav youtuber or just read the blogpost.
Why can’t we have someone super knowledgeable do it? Let’s talk about tuning etc… Why does it have to be some random streamer person. Someone like Raceboy would be 1000x better and more interesting
Idk if you’re referring to Charlie but the host for the most part just needs to be a host. Yes it would be great for them to have some Forza background, but i wouldn’t expect them to have deep knowledge on tuning or anything like this.. I suspect those shows are also vaguely following a script? Like the questions being asked aren’t just coming out of thin air. And Isn’t actually the real feedback coming from the developers themselves?
Although for sure i can agree that some of the constant laughter and pretending how everything is the most exciting stuff we’ve ever seen no matter what is somewhat obnoxious and annoying. Maybe some of that it’s because they know they’re on camera and it’s unconscious. And has more to do with picking the people that are the most confident and comfortable to present to the audience. Not sure it’s the right call to try and completely micro-manage this but it would be nice if they’re able to dial down some of the overly-expressive tone.
I’d like some sort of vehicle in which to divulge new features and witness clear footage of a developer playing the game. As long as that criteria is met, you can do it in whatever style you want. On the off-chance that output annoys me, no probs. There’s a few youtube influencers who are decent & I can get the latest goss from them.
I’m thinking the same, those shows are about the devs talking about their game and the thoughts they had creating features.
Before Mike Brown left, it always felt a bit strange to me, as if the devs just didn’t really care that much about cars and gaming, but afterwards they brought out some real nerds and I found them more fun to listen to, especially Chris Phillips who always shared a couple infos about why certain cars were chosen and the background research and other details that you would otherwise not get to hear. The host is pretty much unimportant to me, they just lead the topics and simply don’t need knowledge. If they switched out the host with some influencer or car guy it wouldn’t change anything about the quality of the show, as it’s scripted anyways. There simply is no journalist aspect about it, it’s just infotainment in the end.
These live streams where always meant for people who just want the infos directly from the devs and maybe get some more details out of it that they don’t mention in the blog post. If anyone wanted more specific questions, there are already the QA sessions where players themselves can ask questions, or sometimes youtubers can ask question through some connection to the devs or give them direct feedback. I think it’s actually quite solid, there is not many devs that put so much effort into giving people so many ways to get the infos they want.
