For the more common tracks, especially in career, I think the friction glitch has been used heavily. A lot of the Top Drivers are between 10-20th place with uncommon names is 1st.
I am pretty sure it is and will be a MAJOR problem im the near future when more people realize how many others are cheating.
It will be the end of all Leaderboards if not fixed and wiped…mark my words.
Oh, and do not forget the Rivals that say Stock but the car can actually be upgraded well above the requirement and Tuned. I found out by being bested by 3 seconds by someone that has never been close to me in anything. Go there and check leaderboard all of a sudden top 10 is 20 seconds better then it was before. I am like what the hell? I run against that guy and not only he’s all over the place in turn but pull like crazy on the straights. Ah, exit, go to upgrade/tune and it works! Go back to rivals check requirement yes it does stay ‘Stock only’. Well there’s that for another bug. Apparently that is since last patch.

Yeah i found out that as well in camaro rivals. I upgraded it a lot and drove around since i thought its a glitgh. Wipe would be good after pathces come.
Hopefully they do, theres certainly a lot of suspect times out there. Although it will be annoying for those that have legit times, which they put effort into (including myself). They get penalised through no fault of their own because of T10’s fault to address such issues and people exploiting them.
The ‘Dry’ leaderboards do not need wiping, I can’t say that for ‘Rain’ as I haven’t ran any laps on there to see if they are glitched.
The ‘Dry’ Leaderboards times are legit to me, I’ve ran quite a few times in various ‘R’ class divisions, and ‘S’ and ‘X’ and ‘P’, the times I post are all legit and any cars above me also look legit. There can be large time differences from one person’s to another because a lot of the boards don’t have many people on them, and most of the time a large percentage of times are dirty. You’ll see what looks like fake times because a lot of the faster people have not posted times, so when one finally does, they are head and shoulders faster than most which has more of an impact due to the low number count of people taking part and the limited amount of clean times on there.
A lot of people are not hot lapping in freeplay mode so a lot of times are related to career laps which will explain why so many laps are dirty and slow (with traffic getting in the way).
In time the leaderboards will pad out and the times will start closing up with one another as we get a more balanced amount of laps from various skill levelled people.
edit! To add, also Prague even going back to FM5, clipping and dinging walls have quite often not dirtied laps (well it’s hit or miss if it dirties it or not) so I can’t see that changing anytime soon, but I’m not fussed about that as hitting walls never improves your lap times 
Sorry Richard, the dry leaderboards also have suspect times. When the likes of Hornet, Harmonic, and AzzyG are seconds behind the #1 time, you know that something isn’t quire right.

Leaderboards are not a priority for Turn 10 in this game; if they were they’d be a lot easier to find and use, and you’d have Rivals for every key combination.
The only Leaderboards that “matter” will be those for the Forza Racing Championship, which hasn’t started yet.
Winner to be decided on just who finish a 100 lap race on a PC followed by adding 200 different logos to the car in paint shop with out a the gaming crashing.
The leaderboards should be wiped. This should be a high priority for t10 because it’s putting ppl off bying the game.
When I tell ppl that you can glitch friction assit on and post a clean lap. Or if I tell them u can hit every wall at rio in free play amd still be clean. The reaction I get is of utter disgust and relief that they havnt already bought it.
With all the refunds going on, the floods of complaints t10 need to make sure they fix the entire game. I’m struggling to see a good outcome for t10 and forza if they leave the boards as thet are.
Do you know of which Leaderboard so I can check out when I get home? Your right LMR Harmonic wouldn’t normally be seconds behind someone, unless he just did an outlap and ran out of time to do a flying lap?
The only LB I seen that comes to mind that has a huge difference above 2nd place by about 5 seconds was Le Mans Le Sarthe, but then again the Hennessey was used so I thought that is fair enough, and the guy who posted that time is fast (with what seem legit times) elsewhere on the boards (AMS SlowerThanU) as his top times on other boards seem realistic with others who are behind him, assuming he is on par with Harmonic (I haven’t noticed them two together on the same boards yet).
To be honest, I can’t remember. I know I’ve seen some in the Exotic GT Class.
any tracks in particular off the top of your head? I haven’t ran a great deal of times in exotic gt but I can run some later today and see how close I can get to them. If it’s a regular 2min kinda track and they end up being 10-15 seconds ahead, then something’s not right

I would recommend doing some of the more popular Forza Cup events if you want to test it out with the grid set to easy. The Sport GT class looks heavily affected. The Sport Compact Icons also seems to be heavily affected. Pretty much any of the single player cup event tracks. especially as you get into Domination Cup and above. This would be the easiest and most convenient tracks to cheat on. The craziest one I saw was one of the Maple Valley Tracks in Sport GT. #1 was almost 10 seconds faster than #2, be interesting know what glitch that was.
I’m not that fast of a driver, usaully being 3 to 5 seconds behind the #1 Driver on long tracks and 2 seconds on shorter tracks in FM6. I am now seeing a trend of almost 10 seconds on long tracks and 4 to 5 seconds on short tracks.
I’ll have a look later. I’ve been playing since Forza 1 and know who the real fast guys are. I also know how I stack up against them. On a 2 minute track, I generally fall behind by a second per lap. On the shorter tracks, I’m normally within a second of their times; closer, dependant on track.
If the glitches are happening at the top of those boards, I’m pretty sure they are elsewhere. Ultimately, I can only compare myself with the drivers that I know, as opposed to published leaderboard times; legit or not.
There’s a glitch with private lobby !! All leaderboards are cheated bad right now ! I tested it my self look at open leaderboard all class hardcore filter for Sebring short … 1.13 in a stock d class mx5 … think not I was in a stock gt3 car … and this glitch can be done on any division leaderboard … so yeah as said all board times are pointless right now
Srry but a friction assist in a racing game is one weak thing, and then you can post times with it on, this is really ridiculus . How can someone get on such an idiotic idea ??
If forza takes itself as a racing game seriously then a wiping is unavoidable .
