Will "Motorsport" be on the tyres like FH3?

This is a good point. Horizon Edition cars all have Horizon tires. This Ford GT Forza Edition has no lettering, perhaps no car can have it, after all.

that’s really bad…

Yes really bad. I have hope that in Forza 7 we have the option to take tyre lettering for ALL cars.

I’d rather have nothing at all on the tires than a ‘made-up’ fake tire brand name.

Agreed.

Made up or not, lettering helps you identify cars with race tires.

Not any more than actually looking at the tread of the tire. Race tires are slicks…look at the tread.

Can be hard to notice the tread of the tires when your going over 200 mph.

LMAO, okay…good luck reading the lettering then. It’s a moot point if you’re talking about racing side by side.

Honestly, when you’re racing the guy ahead is going to be going round corners at various diffetent angle so the tire lettering isn’t exactly hidden. Also black tire with white tire text isn’t inconspicuous either so it should be easy to spot.

You can’t read it, don’t even try.

I’m not arguing about reading the lettering but if you see the white tire text then it’s easier to identify it has race tires. Simple as.

A simply lettering “Forza Motorsport” would be good enough.

I think names on tires don’t have much effect if any on the game. When you’re driving in cockpit or chase view or viewing opponents’ cars, most of the time you are just looking at the front or back of the car.

It has quite a big effect on photo mode and just adds to racecar vibe of the car. Its really noticeable when watching race cars on track and in Forza the cars look odd with out it, kind of the same as them missing the race number or sun strip.

If the tyres don’t matter, then should they not bother modelling the side of the cars? or should they not add new wheel options because we don’t see the side to often?

i agree with you. it enhances the immersion and atmosphere a lot, like a working pit crew would do it. if GT would miss these 2 features, GT would miss a lot.

when nascar came out for fm6 with tire lettering, it was just a bit “more motorsport” (even when the cars felt a bite like a “Daytona USA 3 arcade-machine” xD).

That’d be a little dramatic don’t you think? I’ve never had an issue personally with it. Maybe you do, but in the grand scheme of things the side of the car is a little more important.

Tire text on cars will help identify what cars have slicks on in multiplayer. They’re pretty noticeable for open wheel cars like Indy Cars, F1, Formula Ford/Mazda etc when driving in interior view. They’ll look great in photomode and hopefully (If we have it) drone mode. They’ll also make race paints and designs look better for the most. They’ll have a bigger impact than what most think.

Forza Horizon 3 had tire lettering and if Forza 7 doesn’t it’ll feel like a feature removed. At least for me.

wheel options I wouldn’t care about the cosmetics only the stats. the side of the car is not like a wheel or tire, its not spinning so fast you can see thru it. look at most cars on forza, you can see the brakes when racing. tire letters would only been seen when you are stopped, and stopped isn’t racing. if its for a still shot…fire up gimp, photoshop, blender etc and have at it till your hears content. infact most cars now days have the whitewalls and lettering mounted on the inside where it cant be seen in phoenix. not sure how big the trend is world wide or even nationally or why it became a trend. maybe to keep the lettering / whitewalls unscuffed for a higher used resale values. if you are talking about raised lettering not white lettering…unless you got good eyes you aint even gonna see that standing still unless very close.
