Will I get a ban?

Ok I’m gonna be creating the decepticon Ford mustang. I’m creating all my own vinyls as accurately as I can to the movie. I was wondering if the “to punish and enslave…” Part that is on the car will get me banned? When I tried to type up the words I was hit with “your words contain flagged blah blah blah.” I’m not promoting enslavement nor punishment I just want to re-create the design per the movie.

No. I’m pretty sure numerous people have already done that livery.

If it become popular and people start to get offended you might since that pretty much all they ban people for, cheating is fine but “hurt” someones feeling is not  btw you cant even save a tune or paint as “jesus christ” either

But Microsoft can promote 100theives. And Snoopdog.

If the design flagged words that’s a huge clue. And I wouldn’t suggest any clever workaround either. All it takes is complaints and some have claimed to have been banned for things far less egregious or nothing at all.

As for the classic " But John and Jane and everyone else already did it and didn’t get banned ! " …yeah, that won’t fly either. Maybe you’ll be lucky too and no one will notice or report it. Maybe not.

One of the moderators replied to a similar post with “If you are asking, you probably already know the answer”. Given the possibility of a ban, personally I would not risk it. Then again, I rarely purchase lottery tickets, so…

Point proven.

You can make any design you want and not get banned as long as you stay offline. So don’t publish it and don’t use it in multiplayer races and you will be sure to not receive any bans.

When in doubt, I like to go with parody.

Legally protected (at least in some aspects). But. Not necessarily ban proof.

reqd IANAL

Right…Snoop STILL releases gang bang music…

No, you must have your “Snoops” mixed up. The Snoop in Forza is rated “E” for everyone.

It couldn’t possibly be the same Snoop Dogg who’s been on trial for murder with a list of criminal convictions for repeated drug and firearms offences.

I’m sitting here wondering just how sad someone’s life has to be to hate Snoop.

I don’t think it’s Snoop that’s hated. It’s the apparent double standard in applying “community guidelines” .

EDIT : I should clarify, Snoop probably IS hated for the very reasons the community guidelines SHOULD have meant no pass in the game. But. I think what really gets people is the double standards bit.

I hate Snoop for the annoying Carona ads.

The point in this context would be to alter bannable things into things that are benign. Like changing the given motto to “to furnish and engrave…”

If I were feeling particularly frisky with this one, I’d change the POLICE on the sides to POLISH. And I’d do the decepticon symbol as an outline, make the base paint a wood pattern so the decepticon symbol would be wood, and do the rest of the - fairly simple, IIRC - paint job in glossy stickers.

Wouldn’t that completely remove the reason for making the livery in the first place? He want’s to mimic the Decepticon’s Police car from the movie. Making a wood covered “Polish” car isn’t it, not even close.

It wouldn’t be wood-covered. Just the decepticon symbol itself would be wood in my given example which is not the only way to go about this. I’ve played so many games over the years with varying degrees of intolerance towards player creations that I personally tend to not only step lightly around potentially offensive items but also frequently trademark/copyright. And, yes, I have on occasion had things removed from Forza apparently due to trademark/copyright, though I didn’t get a ban for those.

The 2013 Shelby GT500 has this livery. In fact, it is the second-most downloaded with more than 50K downloads. It does have the punish and enslave slogan. That suggests it has been there for quite some time now. So either this guy is really lucky, or this isn’t something you need to worry about.

What it shows is a way around the censor bot that flagged the words for the OP. So the “designer” is simply lucky no one reported it. Unless you’ve just outed them here.
