Hi I’m HOUSEOFPAINt37 and I’m an in game artist in fh4 and I run multiple art clubs and the issue a lot of my artists and gamers in my clubs are experiencing is very few downloads on any new artwork, designs, vinyls and even tunes! In fh3 we were able to have our art viewed at least for the first few hours by the masses currently playing the game and if they like it and download it becomes and stays popular. Now it seems that unless you did the pre-order and shared first you get no play on the lists for what you are sharing. Any actual awnsers from turn 10 or forza would be appreciated sincerely HOUSEOFPAINt37 and the thousand plus forza paintbooth members that have asked me about issues like this on my club.

yeah i noticed this too. Dont know about FH3, because i didnt play that.
but it is really difficult to find nice designs unless you know who or what discription you have to look for.
yesterday i bought an Infinity Qsomething from the autoshow to find all green and all purple designs with over 4000 dwownloads filling the screen.
I mean really 4000 people picked that pre aplied paintjob over anything they could make themselves, with just painting the car?
im not too botherd, not getting any downloads, but i would like to stumble onto something nice next time i look for a new design. Atleast something that shows someone put effort into it

Here’s the fix that they will never do though… it’s called a rotating door for the shared designs, vinyls and tunes that rotates all designs whether popular or not to allow all designs a shot from the simple paint job to the wicked 100 hour design that some of us have put into a single car… rotate them every few hours to allow fair game views and let the public have a bit more choice… but why would forza do that?
It may be it’s working as expected, just in an unexpected way.
The dev’s decided this time around to ‘reward’ people for playing how they want, however possibly the unintended side effect of that, is all the other players who wouldn’t normally give two hoots for the paint section suddenly deciding that they are very much interested in being rewarded for exactly that.
If all you need to do, to raise your painter level is upload any old design or vinyl group to the sharefront, well an awful lot of players will do that. Those of us that have actually been painting for a long time, and indeed take a long time over each paint we release, just can’t compete against the avalanche of uploads from people just interested in gaming the game.
I’ve attended a fair few forzathon live events over the last couple of weeks and I’ll be honest I’ve not seen many great designs on your average Joe’s cars. So either the gaming public is also less interested in designs or they just see the 20 offered designs as all there is and don’t realise there are others or take the first thing that is put in front of them.
I don’t know the answer to be honest. We’ve had various people contacting different people within PG/T10 asking for more information about how it’s intended to work, with - surprise, surprise no answers forthcoming. That’s been the modus operandi for them, for pretty much as long as I’ve played Forza games. I can’t even knock them for it, it’s just how it is - again there may be unintended consequences of going, well yes it works this way or that way.
It is frustrating though. I’m not the greatest designer but some of my layer groups/ images are decent at least. I do wonder why we paint, if nobody is ever going to see them outside of the forums.
If I could paint a masterpiece, should I display it in my cellar? Whilst watching untouched plain canvasses sell on ebay by the thousands. I mean I could take the plunge and list it on ebay but then it seems that all the other plain canvasses are sponsored ads and appearing ahead of mine, so mine goes unsold. Oh well it’s a modern world, different times and all that. I miss FM2 lol.

Yeah need for @&$$ is calling me I’m thinking on the next new release as I’ve given Enuff of my money to ten turns as I’ve emailed, friended employees of the game in game and in social media and it seems unless your ptg somebody or Kim jong song we get no responses or play…I’ll be sure to rate the newest shortest glitchiest game release to my peeps in my club
