is not bathurst included in a game based in Australia. They have the assets already. It’s quite literally a road they closed off once a year for the big race. We have track toys needed. Seems like a no brainer.

I’m praying that the expansion is mountain-themed and opens up the SW corner of the map, with Mt Panorama in the middle of it and the Snowy Mountains around the edge.
I would love this as well, maybe one day, we’ll be able to enter a real race at Bathurst, or even jump on a plane and go to Spa or Monza. Anyway for now I’m very happy with the game.

I begged for this well before release and was shot down because the idea was thought to be stupid. My idea was for Bathurst to be included as a separate location not accessible from the open world and intended to be used as a testing facility. I see it fell on deaf ears again that it’s quite annoying to combat random weather and traffic when trying to test-n-tune. I will say it cannot be implemented into the open world due to scaling…
Which is exactly why they didn’t do it. You want Bathurst, just play Forza 6.

I thought about this as well many months ago, like "wouldnt it be cool if Mount Panorama would actually be included in the Horizon map as well and that one of the races would indeed be following the exact route to drive the curcuit. Kinda sad indeed they didn’t do that and a missed opportunity at something remarkable as well.
I believe one of the Surfer’s Paradise street circuits is similar to what a V8 supercar race circuit over there is supposed to be though. The sad thing is that nobody outside Australia even knows/cares. But we all know Bathurst.
They didn’t even have to make anything that was a one to one of Mount Panorama, they could easily have put a similar style road course that had a snakey section, a long straight and going over one of the mountains in the game already. And yeah, have it like you drive on a dirt road to get there and then can just meet up with people and race if you want or just tool around and tune your car or drift etc. Seems like a totally cool thing that was a lost opportunity because nobody was thinking outside the box. What I really like about TDU2 was those tracks they had where you could just do that and more.
But all is not lost and perhaps it could still be added later ?
Update : Just now found all my frame drops and stutter has gone after updating Nvidia driver 373.06 … Awesome !
Horizon doesn’t understand the term “track racing”
what Horizon does understand is plowing through the Banana farms while you turn your car into a tin can during a 20 min skill song on the classical station

I suppose fhey could turn it into a real sim and everyone would be bored to tears because they wouldnt be able to do all these fun things, like taking a shortcut through a Banana farm or through rivers and creeks or the ocean.
