That’s disappointing, I hate hoppers compared to lobbies.
Probably because the casuals just jump in a hopper, the seroius racers look for custom. There are more casuals than serious racers.
I am not saying that justifies the design decision but I suspect that is part of the reason.
Probably didn’t help that the hoppers were displayed prominently up top and the custom lobbies were listed at the very bottom.
But the quick and easy facet is why the hoppers trumped custom and then lots of people complain because there’s really no penalty for bad behavior.
The hoppers should be removed, IMO. 3 games each with tweaks to the hoppers and 3 games where the hoppers have successfully driven off more and more quality racers and a lot of complaining about wreckers/lack if ability to find full/competitive lobbies.
Not going to lie. I didn’t even know the custom lobbies excisted until one of those “family games nights” and I saw a dev set one up on twitch. That was only a few months before 5 came out. It was buried in a place that unless you were told you wouldn’t find. It almost makes me wonder if we have it now, but no one can find it.
This is right there with the logic that a career race should be 2 or 3 laps because the data showed that’s what people raced the most online. Those were the default multi-player settings in 4.
There was a lot of data that went into this game to make it better, but there was a need for someone to take a step back and say, “does it all make sense?”

On the one hand I agree but what do they do IF they are given the choice? They join the hopper.
Also I know it is a different game but in Horizon I often got kicked from custom lobbies for winning so I just stayed in the hoppers.
I know of the reasons why too many choices can be a bad thing but I still think having both should be considered.
Well I agree not very many people even use theses forums ,trust me when I say the community quit this game or didn’t buy it all together, when they found out this feature was stripped out .its def the best way to meet new people ,this game is dead without them, I used to run with hundreds of people, every night dragging and roll racing and cruising it’s all gone now I hope they put this in here soon I barley play it nymore and my skills r dwindling away from boardroom lol it sucks thanx to all that support this much needed option
Why does everyone get so annoyed with the auction house money thing ? All you can do with the money is buy cars or parts ? I sold few unlocks and got loads of money but it didn’t make any difference at all just that I could buy any car but once you’ve raced enough you have enough money and won enough cars to do that anyway. Besides once you move onto Forza 5 or Horizon or whatever that money is basically worthless anyway… but seriously though sort out the damn vinyl and design search engines and pay out process as that is a shambles. The most popular designs are carbon fiber or pearlescent standard paints WTF ?
We need user created lobbies back though as not everyone has enough friends all on at the same time all wanting to play the same game…maybe if we had clubs though that would make it a bit easier ?

No they’re not there at all I just wish they would put them back I’ve been playing forza 4 instead and I find racers every time I’m on it because of the user created
It needs to come back like it was.
This game is losing too many features, and honestly I do not love it anymore.
Just bring back everything that you can to FM6 or 7 (since I’m sure 6 is already in work and omitting certain features already), if it were me, I would try to satisfy more of the older hardcore base and bring this thing back.
But I’m sure I’ve posted this a few times over the years LOL.
