Honestly, while I can see people being turned off by some of the vanity items in the Crew 2, at least they’re vanity items that can be put on the cars. Colored smoke, honestly, wouldn’t bug me, but I will agree with you that the weird underglow projection is just bizarre.
Does anyone know if this game has private modded servers like GTA5 where you can mod the game as you see fit. I can’t help think this would be a good solution if possible for some players.
Or, and hear me out here, we just allow custom championships so we can play with our friends and never run out of content to participate in and are never forced to join with randoms. It’s a perfect solution! No fussing around with rating systems and matchmaking or whatnot. Simple, clean, easy to implement.
It’s fine that you never cared for custom championships. I’m sure that’s true for many people. But just because you personally wouldn’t engage with it, that doesn’t stop it from being an essential feature to the game. And I’m not asking for any progression to be tied to it, just for it to exist.
The Crew 2 effects look OK to me. Forza Horizon isn’t supposed to be realistic either. And don’t forget we had Lego cars in FH4.
FH has always been the fun more jokey arcade like Forza game and should be kept that way, FM is the one for serious more sim like circuit racing.
If the tire-effect things are in hotwheels DLC i am ok with it.
But I think the game style are little bit all over the place.
It is not ultra exciting-arcadey-cartoonish with booster and lots of explosion/smoke/effect.
With some of the realstic style car model and sim-cade handling(on ground)
I dont think this game suit these crew2 effect.
Again
People always say “it is not sim racer” it can have everything
But there are lots of game are not “sim” (Shooter/sport game)
Sometime you cant put cartoon effect in a military shooter or a football game with real world character/art style.
Many modern game are putting lots of rainbows skin/effect/emote because it sell well and young people like it.
But it also create lots of ugly game style.
Well
We dont have to debate what style are “correct” if it have a option to turn it off.
They are trying to appeal to a wider age band with FH by adding “hot wheels” and “Lego” DLC also with the jokey costumes and emote dances, it may annoy some people but to me it adds to the charm of the game and I am not some young kid by a long way.
I actually think they should go more arcade in handling. If they really want to make a family-party-racer-for-everyone.(I like NFS)
In FH5 they are adding more sim handling so now we dont have traffic in online street race anymore.
And we have some kids cant handle the simcade control and ramming other serious players and ruined the game.
This game dont take a clear direction
Should I take it seriouly like a sim-cade?
Or bam bam crashing ramming NFS?
Both playstyle have lots of problem in the game.
As simcade it dont have rules.
As a “NFS” crash effect/physic in this game are dull
1/ We have lots of traffic in Online Street racing.
2/ Why ruin the physics?
3/ You can’t choose how people play, they will either ram, or not.
-
Oh you are correct they added traffic back in new patch.
-
It is not about ruin the physic. It is about we dont have enough mobility to aviod traffic or rammer.
The key difference in arcade-racer are if you getting hit by someone. You still have grip and lots of handing. but not in this game.
I dont complaint about ramming in need for speed hotpursuit because it suit the game style. -
It is about have a rule in a sport game. Are you going to debate kicking people it the head or punching people form behind in a football game is part of the playstyle?
I am not saying there should be no ramming in all mode. But can we have A proper sport mode with rule so we can sometime play the simcade part of it without worrying about rammer?
2/ I can avoid traffic Ok.
3/ Post the programming that stops the rammer, and maybe PG will add it.
All I can do is leaving feedback as a customers/players. Maybe at least have a physic patch like FM7?
FM7 is harder to handle than FH5… for supposed realism. You really don’t want worse handling with traffic.
I am talking about Collision Assists
not the handling changes
Oh sorry, didn’t know that FM7 has collision assist.
At least they should implement an optional switch to make every horn sound like a natural one on your end of the game. I enjoy hearing all the dumb horns occasionally but I can imagine for immersion it would get really annoying.
Weirdly enough that is kind of the case in Rivals, every ghost’s horn is set to the default one including your own if you go against it.
Add me to this list. It is because Horizon is more realism focused on the cars and driving dynamics and works with my racing wheel very well that I play it, and not these other games. I stopped playing NFS franchise games back in the 90’s for the same reasons.
You keep saying that all these other games have the things Horizon needs for YOU to finally be happy with it: …but you aren’t captivated by the games that offer those things now, or you’d be there insisting those game implement whatever it is about Horizon that keeps you sitting on their forums 24/7 pining about how they can woo you. …so I don’t buy it.
LoL, too bad someone didn’t get the memo.
Go play your dime a dozen arcade racer games if they are so much better… or admit there is a reason you’re here and it is because Horizon offers you something you want MORE than that stuff.
