Why is loading designs onto cars so unintuitive?

I’m a new FH4 player, I bought the game a few weeks before Christmas when it was on sale for $29.99 CAD. What an awesome game, it’s so much more than just racing…I found myself getting addicted to the whole designing and painting, selling and re-selling and tuning cars thing as much as I enjoyed the racing. I’m only playing Solo mind you, too much shenanigans with multiplayer, from what I’ve read. I find it rewarding when you tune a car and it drives beautifully, and excels in its class. I find high-powered Porsche 911’s the complete opposite of that experience…LOL. I can’t make those stay on the road to save my life, they’re fishtailing all over the place no matter what I’ve tried.

My question is about loading our own designs. I now have accumulated close to 200 designs. When I get a car that I want to load a design onto, and select My Designs, it takes FOREVER to find the EXACT make, model and flavor of car among the pages and pages of designs. I did create all the designs with a naming scheme but now I find myself trying to determine if this or that flavor of BMW or edition of Ferrari is the correct design to load onto the car I’m in. You have to select this and that design in the hopes of seeing the “Load Design” option.

Am I missing something, or shouldn’t this be a whole lot more intuitive? For example, when I get into Year XXXX Car Make Model Flavor Edition, shouldn’t the game show me ONLY those designs that will work, if any? Why does it show me every design I’ve ever saved, regardless of car model, and make me scroll through page after page of cars to hopefully find a compatible design? Further to this, why couldn’t each design include the actual make/model/etc. of car in the title, for example if you see a dozen “Forza Livery” designs and want to rename them to match the car, you may have no idea what car a particular design was for.

It should work the same way as the racing events that have car or class limitations. If you have the car or cars, you’ll see them. If you don’t have the appropriate car, you’ll see nothing but “Buy Car”, then you will see the options. Seems like pretty simple programming; if you want to drop one of your myriad designs on the car you’re in, click “My Designs” and you are shown only the designs that work for that car (or nothing, if none exists). Not 13 pages of every design you ever made for every car you’ve ever painted.

Thanks for any insight if I missed something.
