Sorry, love the game, but this little bit of the game is really poorly designed. I like to have all the cars I’ve driven stickered up like a race car with a quality design - no rubbish for my cars please!! If I’ve not driven it yet, it’s not stickered. Simple, but very important part of the game for me. When I go to download a new design for my car, I can’t clearly see what I’m looking at. Having the icons as small as they are, it could almost be anything. The only way I can see it is if I download it, which sticks the design on the car, then takes me out of the menu. I then have to go to Forza vista to check out what I’ve downloaded. If I don’t like it, download another, Forza vista again, then delete the previous one. WHAT A FAFF. Nice big images of the designs would save all that agro. Or just some better way to see what I’m downloading before I make a choice.
I agree. Those thumbnails are too small. So far I’ve gotten two designs that looked good in the thumbnail, and looked stupid full size.
Totally agree with you. OMG that Car Buy menu and this Design menu I can’t believe they made this. They make that great for 3 games and suddenly this happened. I guess they make that for more space usage and see Community data but that’s just terrible.
I enjoy the game as well but this portion of it is the most bizarre. You can’t tell at all much about the designs. You have to download them first to get a good look. Did they change it just to change it? Or is there is something about the new way they think is better?
The did it TO SAVE MEMORY &/OR DOWNLOAD SIZE FOR THUMBNAILS… I would prefer it if i could preview the design in Forzavista first, before setting it
I agree they are way to small. It’s fine for the auto show because I know what the car looks like anyway. Plus you can view the car before buying. But for designs you can’t see anything. I can’t tell you how many crappy designs I had to download. Now I find myself going to the auto show first to find a design since you can preview it on the car. Then if I like it I’ll remember where it was or who made it, and find it in the designs menu.
At least it’s not the FM7 livery UI, where the selection area is just 2/5’ths (vertical) of the screen and show only 5 or so a scroll.
In fact, I really hate the entire menu UI. H3’s was so much cleaner, easier to navigate, and was much more intuitive. Everything I need to get to feels so far away with so many unnecessary clicks/tabs. Both FH3 and FM7 seemed to be modeled on Microsoft’s Modern UI (perhaps a corporate mandate?), so its surprising FH4 broke from it to give us this hot mess.
Kinda silly you get a clear and large image of the creator’s avatar, but not their creation.
Yes I also agree that the recommended designs page is all messed up. FORZA PEEPS CAN WE PLEASE HAVE AN UPDATE TO FIX THIS ISSUE?! This is honestly the only issue I have with the entire game. Well besides letting folks know that they need to download and install the entire game before they try to buy the house. That should be on the back of the game case. Lmao. I think 50+% of people had a problem with that issue.
Again can we please have an update to fix the design page issue so we can preview the image before we download. Thanks in advance!

Yes it is bad design made worse by the fact the designer’s avatar gets a huge window to display it in. I wanna see the design, not the designer’s avatar.

The whole thing is a horror show. The entire system should be rolled back to an exact model of FM4’s perfection in both the paint and AH systems.
Actually I think you should be able to take your own photo of your design for Auction, and Hub, because I put a lot of design on the bonnet of the car, and no angle shows the bonnet of the car.
