Why did the developers decide not to add text chat to this game. It is especially needed since you can’t add the game to steam as a non-steam game to be able to use the steam overlay. Major fail for pc players who can’t use voice chat all the time. I also see posts on internet about lots of mics not even working. Really bad deal.

I’m not sure that encouraging a link between texting and driving would be a good idea.

haha… awesome answer… I meant to get organized before a race in the lobby. I do private races with a friend. I figured out i can run game in window and use steam for chatting just fine and when race starts alt enter fine back into game so no longer a big issue. I just wish i could force default tuning/ stock cars from clashes like sport gt icons so I but when you change classes for online racing it reverts car restrictions to that class. so everything needs to be class a and therefore those cars can no longer be stock. Ai would be nice too… but that is good. I really like the game overall.

Do PC players use the Xbox App to text chat? I only use PC for painting.

you can do it on your phone now too, even go into a party using the xbox app.
I play on a pc when others in room are sleeping. I prefer to type and to use the xbox app on pc you have to minimize the game which is garbage. I see that this is just a xbox port which works on pc though.

How do you turn on voice chat in forza horizon 5? I am playing on my laptop in steam. Honestly kinda frustrating now I cant seem to find much details on this and support on forza. Like is there a button I have to press? Do I need a headset / Bluetooth headphones like airpods work?
