It’s not all muscle cars of course, but so far I’ve checked the 1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR, 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR, 1968 Pontiac Firebird, Pontiac Trans Ams, 1973 AMC Gremlin X to name a few. But why dirt racing specifically?
Like I know there’s nothing stopping you from building a muscle car for dirt racing, b̶u̶t̶ s̶u̶r̶e̶l̶y̶ m̶o̶s̶t̶ p̶e̶o̶p̶l̶e̶ u̶s̶e̶ m̶u̶s̶c̶l̶e̶ c̶a̶r̶s̶ f̶o̶r̶ a̶s̶p̶h̶a̶l̶t̶ d̶r̶i̶v̶i̶n̶g̶?̶ It’s even more baffling that the two Vipers have this perk since they are track oriented models.
It was an exclusive but for anyone who has it I highly recommend the '68 Firebird for dirt, I have a top 20 time on Gauntlet in A and B class and that Firebird got very close to both of those times, it’s a great dirt car.
If I recall, one of these “new” muscle cars, with larger tire profiles, have those engines + the viper V10. Not in front of my Xbox right now.
FWIW; the GTO judge, Belvedere, and the older nova seem to be quite competitive.
Here’s hoping that playground decides to add more muscle car rear tire profile upgrades.
OP: there’s viper builds that are quite competitive on dirt, in S1 class. I would also say these perks don’t add much value. Not a lot of reason to use them, unless you’re first starting out.
Can’t remember the engines for the '68 Firebird as it was a while ago but it’s F1fan1985’s tune for the B class one, TheDannny’s tune for the A class one, I think you might be right though with both guesses.
Dukes of Hazard fans? I remember the credits with them Dukes leading Roscoe in circles in dirt. Joe Dirt sprayed dirt and rocks at Kid Rock with his hemi in Joe Dirt. Driving classic muscle in dirt is kind of a southern thing.
But the track focused Vipers … i dont have theories about those.
Come to think of it that makes sense. All those iconic car-action movies and TV shows from the 70s, 80s and 90s had lots of stunts and driving around in the dirt
I do reckon that the SRT10 ACR having the perk is definitely an oversight. Perhaps it’s meant to be an obscure reference to the Viper Defender from the Viper TV series which could transform into a 4x4 offroader, which might make sense for the 1999 Viper since a similar Viper GTS is in the show. But the show was long over by the time the original SRT10 entered production
