I’ve got an S1 900 road racer, the Schuppan 962CR, and an A 800 road racer, the '94 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, that require only one skill point to recharge their refillable road racing perks. Makes them cheap to race, and they’re good road racers as well. Does anyone know of others with that estimable mastery? I’d like to find road racers in other classes, and dirt racers in any classes.
try this - #27 Perk | Car Masteries | FH5 | kudosprime.com
you can filter by perk - useful site for this kind of thing!
Only problem there is that Kudosprime has made fantastic web sites for this on many Horizon Editions for many years but this version of Horizon, the Devs have been constantly messing with the cars and changing the perks all the way through, so I’m not sure if his current listings are still up to date. I would guess he gave up on updating it a few months ago - and I don’t blame him. I’ve been keeping my own list of perks but still get surprised when I find they’ve been changed when I take a look back at the lists.
fair point, now you mention it I remember something about that - but I noticed it does have the two hot wheels consumable perks (which, btw, do not work) so it’s had some attention as recently as that, at least
Wow, @SpirantCrayon22, that’s great!
Thanks!
Yeah - agreed.
It’s a pity the Devs started doing this as it will take a lot of effort to go through every car in the game to check the current state of the perks, so he may well have added the up to date HW cars but probably not gone back through his extensive car list for previous cars.
on that note the one thing I can add is that have not noticed any changes to any trees since the second round of nerfs (which was a stealthy one maybe a month after the big one) - I have all cars with all perks unlocked and tend to unlock certain perks before ditching duplicates, which means I compare with the one I already have, so do actually see quite a lot of the skill perk trees
Yes - that’s the only way they show up for me now by comparing the new ones to old ones taken. Problem is it changes the old ones as well if they’ve not already been taken and though I’ve got all cars, I haven’t perked many of them. Got 878 cars in garage (incl. duplicates) with 619 with perks untouched or looked at, so no idea how many of these need to be updated for perk changes.
Both of those cars can actually be quite useful in dirt with the right tune. If you need someone to do up a tune for you on those just let me know
Edit: realized that they a probably road racing specific buffs not the general buffs some cars have
Honda Civic Coupe 2016 has a 1 point perk that gives a 50% bonus for the next 10 campaign races of any type. (Checked)
In addition to this, fully maxed out it has a seperate 25% boost for dirt races, a 25% increase in event finish XP and multiplier of x6 that builds 2.5 times as fast. (It also gets a 20% boost for skills banked in free roam.)
It comes as an S1 class, but can downgraded to A.
Edit: Twerkstallion also has 50% boost for all races for 1 point.
So…surely KudosPrime didn’t build that database by opening each car in the game and recording the perks? That would take forever. Do you suppose that he’s cracked the data files and is reading them right out of those?
@PassionWagon69, I’m not finding a 2016 Honda Civic Coupe like what you’re describing. The only similar car in the autoshow and in the auction house is a 2016 Honda Civie Type R, B699, that doesn’t have perks anything like what you describe. Is that car a special award from the playlist or an accolade or something like that?
It’s an exclusive. To find it search “Honda Civic” (no year) in the title. The first Honda
Hope this helps.
well, yeah, pretty sure that’s what went on
I could have done something similar - I have unlocked all perks on all cars in FH5 and would have considered helping out but around the time I did a lot of this they were messing with skill trees a lot so didn’t want to potentially waste time
The 2017 Ford Raptor has a 1 point Cross Country Event perk.
The 1968 Nova Super Sport 396 has a 1 point Dirt Racing perk. I don’t have the slightest idea why they would give this car a dirt racing perk in this game, but it’s there.
Not 100% sure on this but I think it’s FE version in FH4 was a very strong A class dirt car with the right setup, that’s the only thing I can think of.
Yes, and ok for game fantasy racing. But have you ever seen a Nova in a SCORE off road race? I could buy into this if they had actual dirt track racing. But… game fantasy racing is the qualifier.
Here’s a list of cars I worked through up to the BAC Mono in my list of cars. Looks like they love Audi for Drag racing.
1 point perk race recharge
2001 Acura Integra Type R Drag
1973 AMC Gremlin X Dirt
2018 Audi RS4 Avant Drag
2015 Audi TTS Coupe’ Drag
2015 Audi S1 Drag
2011 Audi RS3 Sportback Drag
1939 Auto Union Type D Drag
@SpirantCrayon22, a question for you. If you’ve unlocked all perks on all FH5 cars, how in the world did you manage to accumulate all the skill points it must have taken?
I just unlock the cars I race regularly, and to collect the skill points I go out to the desert - I’ve got a pretty good spot near the Costa Rocosa speed zone - and careen around mindlessly in my 7X Hoonigan Gymkhana Focus, and if I can keep the skill chains going it still takes me about a half hour to earn back the skill points I spend on an expensive car. At that rate it would take me months of 40-hour weeks doing nothing but that to earn enough for my whole garage.
So how do you do it? Inquiring minds want to know )
The main method I’ve used is blueprints designed to acquire skill points. There are quite a few that are basically races for a souped-up Lambo Sesto FE to drive through a long line of smashable objects. The skill chain builds up and hits 500k by the time the car goes over the line and gets banked without having to wait. That’s the fastest per unit time, though it requires pressing buttons every minute.
