Because you can’t. That’s why. The only answer I could give is that Turn 10 forgot to add that feature to the program for Forza 7, or they did and it didn’t work. Otherwise, deal with it.
There’s an option to do it in the paint booth, but there is no apparent change of color that I can detect; however there’s a work around. You can apply a square vinyl shape the length & width of the car in the color of choice and turn down the opacity to achieve the color variation of carbon fiber you’re looking for. Once done, copy that shape and apply it to the remaining body sections. It’s not an ideal solution, but it’s workable. Hope that helps. You can also use that technique with matte carbon fiber.
