Why are the Drivatars so bad?

It definitely needs an overhaul. I did a race on Daytona full last night and lapped a car as I finished the race. As soon as I crossed the line whatever it is that controlled my car let up on the throttle swung up the track and smacked the dude into the wall. What the crap!? It should ghost you or at the very least keep you or of other people’s way. It’s hard enough to get around the track without getting taken out by a living breathing person.

Daytona tri-oval is def the worst for crashes after you’ve finished, had my AI full throttle rear end someone I had lapped and caused them not to finish the race as a result. Kind of strange messaging someone that you are sorry when in fact you did nothing wrong.

The drivatar’s DNA is imprinted off your driving behavior/skills. If the drivatars are aggressive, it’s because you’re aggressive too!

Please do not assume you know the first thing about me or how I drive. I take a lot of pride in how I drive. I’ve put about 200 hours into Forza 6. I’d wager upwards of 90% of that time has been spent in rivals. I have some decent lap times. I run with no assists, except traction control depending on the car. I am smooth on the steering and acceleration/deceleration inputs. I’ve spent a relatively small amount of time in the public hoppers and even less in the “career mode” (if thats what they want to call it. I call it garbage but thats a discussion for another time.) However, I have never, NEVER, intentionally wrecked a man, woman, or Drivatar. I value car control above all else. The ability to hold your line through a corner with opponents on one of both sides of you is a pretty large factor between wrecking a bunch of cars and crossing the finish line first. I won’t even bull my way through the Drivatars because I don’t want mine to learn such things. If I was a crap driver I would know I was a crap driver and would not have been surprised with what I saw. But I was, because what I saw, in no way shape or form, was any indication of how I drive. Steering inputs were short and jerky. On and off the brakes multiple times through corners. Could not keep all 4 tires on the track on straights. Riding walls. Hence my confusion with a system that is supposed to learn from me and mimic my driving style and ability. And in regards to what I posted about Daytona, I don’t think my Drivatar was aiming to crash anyone. It just decided “I have to get on this line” without any thought for the dude who was right next to me. The general consensus seems to be that the AI that takes over post race isn’t the same AI that drives in other peoples races, and I believe that is probably true. But if that is in any fashion how I am represented to the world through my Drivatar then Turn10 has some serious explaining to do because I had absolutely NOTHING to do with shaping that.

It’s unfortunate they way the after race AI is. I recall finishing a race in ABC’S with a 900hp Chrysler in A class. The after race AI just plowed through the C and B class cars trying to finish the race. Ghosting after finishing a race would help this.
