Where are the 10 million players?

I only ever see max of 4 blips on my map and l still dont get matchmade to any Arcades. I’m just soloing them and maybe getting the first round done. Great fun.

Such a staggering amount of of players yet they are nowhere to be found. No matter how poor or great Arcade is, still with these numbers there has to be plenty of players wanting to do and try those.

Missing traffic just contributes to the loneliness.

I was thinking of the same thing yesterday lol

It’s likely a bug, but Microsoft is notorious for skimping on server resources.

I’m willing to give PGG a partial pass on this issue for now. Clearly they have a lot of issues to deal with right now. However I’m not going to give them a full pass. Server issues plagued the last one as well, and the whole “we couldn’t have predicted this game would be so popular” excuse isn’t going to fly. It was day 1 on games pass, and the first open world racing game out on the new hardware, not to mention the first one after a long drought. They very definitely could have predicted it’s popularity if they had thought about it for more than 2 seconds, they just didn’t want to spend the money on the server resources. Probably a Microsoft decision though not a PGG one.

It changes for me depending on the time of day. Mid-week, middle of the day here in Germany, and I might see a dozen people, tops. Evenings on a weekend, and I have zero issues getting people to play with. Just today I did multiple rounds of the co-op racing thing, all with different groups of people, and it was amazing. I’ve done multiple Eliminators, all with plenty of people, and they were even visible this time around. Things only start to fall apart when the servers get overloaded late on Saturday and Sunday, and then I have lots of trouble staying connected. I trust that these things will be ironed out.

Just tried Eliminator, no players, or more likely all invisible (it said there were 50). There clearly are a lot of people playing the game but the networking is broken. Sometimes it works, often it doesn’t.

I’m probably not the only one but I only play Eliminator to get the weekly Forza Points. My usual tactic is to just hide somewhere away from the roads - moving only if I’m not in the circle - and let the rest take each outer out while hoping to make it into the last 30 to get the points.

The weekly Arcade participation is a whole other ball game. I don’t think I’ve managed to clear all 3 rounds to be eligible for the points yet since it’s always only 2-3 other players max which makes things near impossible to complete in time and/or also provided we don’t get disconnected.

I have no idea why they brought back Eliminator. According to achievement stats, it was a complete flop.

Not surprised if this is what’s really happening, judging by FH4 when people only played it to get the rewards.

Convoys are broken for me. My friends are there one min then gone the next. I find them on the map and fast travel to them and they are gone, but they never moved. Following them down the road just messing about and they disappear in front of my very eyes. Rubbish!!

The whole online matchmaking side is just flat out broken right now. I can sometimes see up to 10 drivatar dots on the map for other players, until of course you actually get close enough to interact with any at which point they fade out, disappear, or possibly were never there to begin with. Actually want to get people together for an Arcade Event? dream on.

10pm on a Saturday night & there’s 2 blips on my map.
I’m beginning to think that the 10 Million are all offline players

This is the downside of only seeing player dots for those in the immediate vicinity so it makes the game seem so empty. On FH4, you could, for example, see how many Forzathon players there were for an event and so decide if it’s worth doing…for Arcade, unless you are in the circle or right outside, you have no clue

I have Drivatars from my friends list of people who haven’t been on Xbox Live in years. I wouldn’t be surprised…

10M XBox Gold Players tried it out.

Could 10 million players be the vast majority of gamepass subscribers who may not have downloaded or played the game but technically own because it’s currently free on gamepass?

Game Pass is rumored to be at 20+ million. Ultimate, which gives you online on Xbox consoles, should be around 14-15 million going by the numbers Microsoft released back in January.

Game Pass has close to 30 million subscribers now.

MP is still hot garbage almost 2 weeks after release.

Those 10 million is Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Win 10/11, Steam, and xCloud.

It’s cross platform so that shouldn’t prevent other players from being on the map with you.

At least in 4 it showed how many players were in the session.
