i need time to tune one or grab a tune and learn that. i dont wanna spend more time off the track than on it.
or is it gonna be like indy with forced default/stock tune? that might even take more time figuring out which car to pick. i generally upgrade street cars rather than useing race cars except the db9 and austin is already at 25 affinity so i dont want to use that.
Well, after watching LeMans free practice yesterday, I am guessing it’s gonna be GT-Pro cars like the Aston DB9R and the Ferrari 458. Since you only need to drive 250 miles in 2.4 hours, that equates to about 110mph on average. The LMP cars did a 3:23:xxx last night which comes out to 150 miles average speed while the GT-Pro cars ran roughly 3:55:xxx which would be averaging 120mph.
In all honesty, IF T10 decided to run LeMans with LMP cars, the Challenge-badge is easily gotten for everyone
they’ll start a race about every halfhour. if you enter a lobby and it says still an hour (or more) left to go in the race already in progress quit that lobby and re entry a request. it may take 3 or 4 trys but you can generally find a lobby starting in less than half an hour. its avalible at any time dureing the weekend. i think the longest i waited for a race to start was 24 minuets and the shortest was 7. remember to check your batteries before the race, it would suck to have them die before the end off the race and give you a dnf. if your batteries start getting low during the race pull out the headset and the batteries will last twice as long. and go to the bathroom before the race so you dont have to go in the middle, if you do have to go in the middle find somewhere safe off the track to park your car like that field at the end of the straight.
“Folks, the biggest endurance race of the year is happening next weekend – the 24 Hours of Le Mans! We’ll have boots on the ground at the big race – our Man in the UK Ian (aka Helios) will be there – and we’ll have some cool stuff coming to you in Forza Motorsport 5 as well, including a chance to earn a new Badge & Title by completing our 2.4 Hours D’Endurance Challenge (complete a race in the 2.4 Hours D’Endurance Hopper, and drive 250 miles in the event), which will go live on Friday, June 13 to coincide with the start of Le Mans weekend.”
by the way if anyone lives near the lemans could you swing buy, and go to the forza tent. helios has said he’ll let you play horizon 2 early and if they have the 3 screen set up can you ask him about it? how its done on the xbox one?
edit called it the ring. guess what is on my mind besides lemans this week?
Luckily today is a “resting day” on LeMans. So all I need to do now is find 2.4H (plus 30 minutes waiting time) to get the Challenge done between 7PM and midnight local time. Mmmm, gonna be tricky with other things going on in my life…
I think Indy was probably set up stock tune because it would have been too easy to set up a wallrider tune and just go mow the lawn while it ran on its own and let you finish midpack.
it starts friday and when turn ten gives a time its pacific because they are in redmon washington. i’m not sure what time it happens. it starts friday, not friday at midnight. it runs till sunday night so you can watch the race and race the event in forza. you can do both without missing any of either. you get 3 days to do the forza event, friday saturday and sunday.
it list hours till the achievement starts in achievements so it starts at 10am pacific friday, 1 pm eastern. the real race starts at 5 am pacific saturday on fox sports so you have 19 hours before the race starts to get the event in before the real race starts. you’ll also have 19 hours after the race ends to complete the forza event. you can do both without missing anything. you dont have to choose, you dont have to miss forza or the race.
i’ll be going for the #42 nissan in the race. gotta root for the local kid. matt mcmurry will be the youngest to ever start the race, a 16 year old highschool sophmore from phoenix arizona. i also wanna see how the new vette does.
we only have 17 hours left till the race starts. can we get a car list already? i’m not the next schumacher, i need the practice.
