When exactly is something going to be done about lobbies crashing the game?

As far as I’m aware the issue hasn’t so much as been acknowledged in the nine months since release, yet I remain unable been able to get more than two races in a lobby without the game crashing for no apparent reason, and most times I’m lucky if I can get one. This is an utterly appalling state of affairs, deeply infuriating and saddening to someone who just wants to enjoy some racing. It’s bad enough that players continually crashing restricts me to the one No Collisions lobby, but the game itself continually crashing is a whole other level of disgusting.

It’s weird that some Xbox One consoles crash FM5 for some & other consoles don’t crash FM5 (mine doesn’t at all).

Must be a fair few of us affected, because one lobby this happened in today was almost full, and at least half a dozen players dropped out one after the other before I did, almost rhythmically within half a second of the previous one. Sure some could have quit out but for all of them to do so in that fashion is unlikely, especially since several had just joined. It normally seems to happen during the Intermission countdown.

Battlefield crashed on me yesterday. The fix is always do a cold reboot before starting mp in any game.

It is MADDENING!

Last weekend I was dashboarded FOUR TIMES in one hour. Four times! This, after not being dashed ONCE for the last 2 1/2 months.

Nothing helped, one dash-crash happening immediately after a coldstart.

When I finally got into a race, I was torpedoed in the 1st turn by a 4-year-old in a RR Wraith… Some days one just can’t win, figuratively OR literally LOL.

I cold reboot so much my X is wearing off. PL was that a c class lobby this morning? If it was I was the first one dashboarded.

Yep, it was afternoon my time in the UK but would have been morning in the US. Your name does seem familiar as well. Does this happen in private lobbies as well, or just the hoppers? If it does I have no idea how people can run leagues and the like.

I was doing some races in a private lobby against drivatars (to unlock a few “lead for ### miles” achievements) and It crashed for 3 times in a row. But at least the miles driven before the crashes did count…

Its infuriating all this crashing, it seems to kick me out of a lobby and right to the very startup screen of forza 5 as if the game has just rebooted and more times than many its when im in a lobby winning a race…AAAARRRGGGHH…worse still its only happeing to a few of my mates too others it never happens at all! [ at least BATTLEFIELDS DEVELOPERS ADMITTED IT HAD BUGS AND FIXED THEM!!!]

Never will be fixed or can be fixed imo. We will just have to learn to live with it.

Very rarely happens to me but when it does its annoying. I can only have sympathy with the people encountering it often.

happened 3 times to me yesterday. not happened for ages before that.

In private lobbies not to me, but has to friends. I got back on after it dashboarded me and didn’t have a problem for quite a while. It was a little bit frustrating as I was catching up to 3rd after being blasted in the first turn. Lol

Nothing will be done with Forza 5 however im sure Forza 6 will be pitched to be a far better online experience.

Give it up no one cares anymore…well i dont lol.

Im not sure if this will help or not… i was often crashing back to the loading screen while online racing,i think i found out why it was happening so much,if you are often clicking on other users names to see the driver levels and builds they are using you will often crash when you go to the select car tab. Try to not look at the other racers while in the pre race lobby and keep the car select tab highlighted. You should crash far less often if you do this,i can get 20+ races without a crash if i dont check the other drivers out.

If I highlight a persons gamertag while the game switching over from voting, intermission, starting race, Im guaranteed to dash board.

Hmm that actually makes sense since I’m muting them all in between each race, and have to select each one to do so. Is there any way to mute everyone by default? Either way thanks a lot for the tip, I’ll be sure to let you know if I notice any difference.

Setup a chat party before racing to avoid muting.

Ah, good idea, I’ll try that. Thanks. If highlighting other players in the lobby is what causes this then it makes perfect sense that I’d be experiencing it a lot.

Go to Security and Privacy in the general XB1 settings, and set “Receive voice and text messages from” to Friends only, and you won’t hear the random lobby chat.
