Just curious as i dont have a wheel, has the handing/physics improved or changed using a wheel? Using controller i feel things have changed, i just dont know if its just controller changes or if physics/ handling have actually changed or improved.
Whats your experience?
Early on FM23 felt great but, recently I made the mistake of playing all of the racing sims I own and comparing them to FM23. Now I am trying to dial in more tire feel. I had the feeling of tires and suspension so muted, that the game told me next to nothing about what the car was encountering on track. I got to see if I can change this. So far increasing pneumatic trail added some tire dynamics in the game. Lets see if I can get the suspension to do the same?
remember to try Trouble shooting & what people are Recommending Online & Youtube However I understand that Everyone has there own preference & I Respect that
Check out Hiko Hoshi in YouTube. Great tuning guide.
I hated my wheel on Forza before watching his setup video.
Yes, the understeer and ffb clipping seems to be fixed, but i had to reset the ffb settings and redo it to get it workable. There’s less granularity in track surface but may be that’s too much to ask. This a fix in both physics and ffb.
I seen his video, but I remember ignoring it because his setup was for a Logitec G923 wheelbase. I could be wrong though. I’ll rewarch it.
I’m running a Fanatec CSL-DD.
My initial setup came from bringing my FM7 settings over and then fixing them using Ermz’s Youtube channel as a guide.
I haven’t noticed any changes, and am reasonably satisfied with how it feels currently.
Same here, I play since FM5 and FM23 has by far the best force feedback implemented on the serie. I use a Thrustmaster TS-XW and only play with wheel so more than 550 hours as of now.
guys, read this guide and try the settings!
great explantation of what does what and how things work.
the ffb feels satisfying on my dd1 here on both platforms with same settings, pc & series s
I have been using the simracingsetup.com settings for Logitech g920 since day one and it has felt great. A few weeks ago I decided to change it a little bit and upped the road feel settings to close to max, or max (I can go back and check if someone is really interested). Now it feels nothing less than fantastic. I’m comparing this to F1 and the Codemasters rally games. Forza feels more realistic. I am not a real race car driver so take it with a grain of salt, I just really like it. I don’t think “being harder” always means “more realistic”.
I didn’t rewatch his video yet, but I must apologize. His video is for general settings regardless of wheel or FFP delivery and I did watch it. I ended up mixing in some of Ermz’s suggestions, which had me lowering the pneumatic trail. I turned it up and the bumps on track re-appeared. I still don’t feel the “tire like” reverb when hitting a bump but now, I am 100% sure of what the front tires are encountering. I’ll still give Hoki Hoshi’s guide a second watch, perhaps I’ll be able to get a little more suspension feel out of FM23.
Thanks again for the suggestion.
Can you provide your settings? The link to simracingsetups it’s not working

For some funny reason I can’t abbreviate the word Force Feedback scale, why ever the first three letters of this word produce a message, why you’re not allowed to post it is a mystery to me and it only has to do with Force Feedback.
