I’ve had my CSWv2 goto full wheel lock and ffb was so strong I couldn’t do anything except for turn it off. Pretty sure this was under different circumstances and had nothing to do with Apex. So don’t think random things like this are isolated to just you or apex
Any news about Driving Force EX? Can I play the game with it?
Ohhh lovely Turn10 Guys,
real Simracers wait al long time for this Epic step… Forza on PC !!!
BUT why you not supported all kinds off USB Pedals? The Best Pedals
vor mainstream Custumers are the FANATEC CSP V. 1 - 3, for Years!!!
When i put this wonderull Pedals directly in the PC USB Port, that doesent work!!
W H Y ???
Please bring the Support for all Input Devices they are have a driver for Windows 10!!!
[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]
I wonder what are the chances of the Fanatec Porsche Turbo S getting support eventually ?
i am planning to change wheel this winter, but it would be nice to be able to use it while I can (I had this wheel since Forza 3, and AFAIK, it’s actually younger than the logitech momo)
It will work by putting it into ps3 mode
I guess I need to do that before connecting the wheel to my PC ?
Yes, the manual states to put the wheel into pc first but if you do that on pc it wont let you switch to ps3 mode. So start the wheel and hold down the ps3 buttons and it should connect and be recognised as a G25
But do you honestly expect them to support every 10+ year olf wheel? They barely support wheels in the first place its a joke that a big racing title does so poorly with a wheel.
The weird thing is they shouldn’t have to “support” every wheel. As long as it has drivers for Windows it should just work. You know like every other racing game on Windows. The driver presents itself as a racing wheel peripheral to windows and tells Windows “Hey these are my buttons and my axes” and then when you configure the wheel in the game you tell it what axis does what. Choosing a wheel in the option should just be that the axes and buttons are preconfigured to match the correct functions on the wheel.
There is literally NO REASON that my Fanatec Porsche Turbo S shouldn’t work. It works fine in other games that don’t directly support it because I HAVE THE DRIVERS INSTALLED AND CAN CONFIGURE IT MYSELF. But why would a Microsoft published game follow Microsofts own driver model. That would be crazy!
The reason why it doesn’t just work like every other racing game is because its not an EXE. Program like all the other games, it’s a UWP application. The comunication to peripherals is handle in a different manner, until the platform evolved more we just have to live with it.
As for you Porsche wheel, you can use it in Apex just fine right now, How to use your Fanatec wheel on Forza Apex
It would be more than likely they would’ve supported the DFGT than the Momo, an older wheel, due to the DFGT’s popularity. We may expect it to come soon.
Its due to the way ffb communicates with wheels in forza titles. Its backwards and it shows.
I am so happy my G27 works perfectly with this game, i had a feeling only MS supported wheels would work to my surprise Turn 10 nailed it on PC. Thank you. That made me preorder Horizon 3 ultimate edition with confidence Microsoft and Turn10 are serious about branching out “thinking outside the box”.
Still not sure why all the fuss anyways. If you guys own already own a wheel and a pc you are likely playing other pc racers and even once your wheel is supported is going to be a tremendously dissapointed wheel user based on the fact that the ffb is implemented so poorly. None the less I hope the move to pc and the outcry to change the ffb really pushes t10, pg, and ms to do something about it.
Why doesn’t the incar wheel turn more than 150 degrees? Makes correcting oversteer really offputting/impossible to judge as you don’t feel your input nor can you see it either!
This seems to be something that puzzles animators across the board on all sims/driving games. They seem to have a hard time with figureout out how to display crossing hands so they limit the animation to 90 degrees, however you can turn your wheel more than that.
Any news on Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 FFB ?
I second that, any update or news on future support for this wheel? I’m using Apex as a test for Horizon 3, and based on wheel support, I am disappointed :(.
Has anyone had their G25 detected?
