What wheel do you have?
For someone with a MOZA R5, am I to rely on MOZA to provide a compatibility profile for the game? How does Turn10 decide what wheelbases do and do not get added to their official support list?
Im sure youll be fine moza just announced an r3 bundle that is xbox compatible and its not on the list.
So no support for Simucube, VRS, Simagic and Asetek? Is it the same as in the F1 Game, writing an XML file, so it will at least get recognized by the game and then having bad FFB.
Mmh⌠i was hyped for the game but that doesnât look good to me. Looks like Simracer are not even a part of a target group. No triple screen, no VR and only a very few supported wheelbases. Hopefully they will work on it and we will get some of these things after launch.
I have a VRS and its not supported by any game, but works in all of them pretty much.
I have the VRS to. Did you try FM7? If so, how did you get it to work? There is no FFB sadly.
Well thatâs a disappointing wheel support list, I was looking forward to this game Forza Motorsport is what really got me into sim racing and I was excited to get back into it.
But Iâve moved on, Iâm not playing with a toy anymore I run a Simucube 2 Pro but the big name of Forza seems to have forgotten about the big names on PC like SImucube , VRS, Asetek, Simagic. Shocking really!
Well guess I wonât be jumping back on Forza this time round.
Have not tried Forza 7, with the VRS. But Forza 8 does support DirectInput API, so even if your device isnât on the natively supported list. It wouldnât automatically assign settings and buttons, but you should be able to manually set it up. Much the same as we do with iracing/acc/ac/am2, so on and so forth.
Yes, its the same as FM7, input works, but no Force Feedback. And it seems like there is no change in FM(8)
iRacing/AC/ACC/AMS2/RaceRoom work out of the box. And there are some games like F1 22 (no idea of F1 23) Dirt Rally 2.0 where you have to do some XML changes and USB allignments but it works after that. But FM7 no chance.
Maybe someone else has a clue how to get VRS work in FM7 or the other Mige motor DDs? If there is a solution im pretty sure that will also work in FM8.
Oh, i found a thing called Forza Emuwheel. Dont know if i am allowed to post Links, so just google it. Seems to be exactly the solution for wheelbases as Simucube, VRS and so on. I will try that today and let you guys know.
Update:
You need vJoy and Forza Emuwheel to get FFB in, it seems, any Forza game on PC. It feels not clean, but at least it works. So it might be a solution for the new FM, we will see.
My Logitech G923 has working shift lights in Assetto Corsa Competizione on XBox Series X.
Fanatecâs Xbox compatibility is through the steering wheel. You should be good as long as you are using an Xbox compatible wheel and the wheelbase is in Xbox mode. Itâll probably be seen as a CSL-DD, despite actually being the GT DD Pro base. The CSL-DD and GT DD Pro are basically the same wheelbase.
Also the list doesnât specify which version of the CSL wheelbases is compatible, there are 3 of them. The CSL, the Playstation CSL which I forgot what it was called, and the CSL V1.1 (Basically the PS CSL but without the Playstation chip). All 3 would work on Xbox if an Xbox compatible steering wheel is connected. So, donât worry if youâre on the GT DD Pro or on the CSL-DD. If youâre using an Xbox compatible steering wheel, youâre good.
:Edit: I finally got time to look up the CSL wheelbases. They were the CSL Elite wheelbase, the CSL Elite w/ PlayStation compatibility (it had no special name) and the CSL Elite v1.1 (again the same as the PS version but, no PS chip). I hope I didnât cause confusion. To my knowledge there wasnât a CSL (non Elite) wheelbase.
So tried this on Horizon 5 a game I donât mind playing with gamepad.
I definitely wonât be buying Forza Motorsport relying on this bit of software to run my wheel with.
It felt horrendous on Horizon, really notchy and grainy and thatâs when it worked, sometimes Iâd get no FFB, then other times Iâd be racing along and it would try to snap my hand off.
Really wouldnât recommend investing in this game if you are hoping this is a fix, because I couldnât get it running consistently with my Simucube 2 Pro.
Itâs on gamepass at launch man, you donât have to invest at all, at max you pay for a month gamepass and if you donât like it you have a lot of games to try in that month.
I am very disappointed to see that the Thrustmaster TGT 2 is not on the steering wheel list mah
People play it with Moza R12 (and itâs not on the list), wait for the game to release and then complain. (I also have a TGT2)
I honestly dont know why i paid the extra for the G923, no true force in FM8 and half the functions still not in use, really disappointed at the lack of functions on track like moving brake bias or setting up the next pit stop, anyone would think this is their first motorsport game!
Im using a thrustmaster tx with the shifter attachment. The game is set to manual with clutch however the h pattern shifter is not workingâŚonly the paddles will shift the car. Can anyone help with this? the shifter works for other games.
FM may support Thrustmaster TX but there is no FFB effects. Running over a kerb, in the grass, being hurt by another car⌠there is nothing in the wheel.
The outer curb is slightly to feel, but the inner gives no response. I drive the Fanatec CSL DD (8Nm).
