I have not played the demo and will not try that copy-from-demo workaround.
Only writing in, so this thread gets more views by the devs.
My problem:
PC, CSW v2.5 + TH8A H-pattern shifter. Control settings save buttons, except for my shifter.
I set up each gear, save, go out of the binding menu, go back into the binding menu to double check, sure enough, everything’s saved. I go out of all menus into gameplay and the shifter doesn’t work. Going back to binding menu and all shifter bindings are undone.
I also tried the workaround - copied the text from the Demo config file into the full game one and had the same experience as BrainsBush - button and pedal bindings started working again, but FFB was completely missing. I’m going to try reinstalling as suggested and see if I can get FFB back now!
Hello, i have the same problem. In demo everything was fine, now i cant bind fanatec clubsport shifter sq v1.5. It let me bind and save but after exit the menue its unbind again…
Also some buttons on the T-GT wheel dosnt bind, you can bind them and save but after exit menue they are unbind again…
HOW can i fix it, why its not working in full version? It was work perfect in the demo.
Sort of the same problem too here…I have a G29 and th8a and it’s saving the binding of my Wheel but Don’t save the gearbox setting…i tried to map the gears on my Wheel only (unused buttons) and it’s saving so it’s like the game Don’t save from a second controller.
I also tried to map the gearbox with steering Wheel disconnected (as it can save one controller only and Wheel is recognized directly) but nope, it won’t save.
Already submitted a ticket but haven’t got yet any answer. Hope they’ll take this problem seriously and fix this fast because it’s unacceptable to “advertise” (the demo was working perfectly) a faulty product as working.
I can confirm my Fanatec CSL Elite (PS4), CSL pedals connected to wheelbase and TH8A via PC USB as analog handbrake allstill work fine and also with the right and if needed adjustable FFB to personal preference.
For those who cannot enjoy FH4 to it fullest this is indeed very annoying…
If I can be of any assistance I’m willing to share info but to be honest I do not know what I did different and why it works with my setup?
In wheel it recognizes my PS4 Elite wheel but I mapped everything in profile 1, then saved and back to the game. Works perfect.
I did an upgrade to latest CSL firmware (beta 314) but then FFB was not working anymore. Rolled back to 3.12 and FFB was back again. Not sure if that has something to do with beta drivers of Fanatec or Microsoft drivers or FH4 game itself?
I think the issue is when wheel and pedals are connected separately to different USB ports. It looks like things work fine when pedals are connected to the wheel base.
I also think this is the case. I have a Thrustmaster TX Wheel with T3PA pedals attached to the wheel base. Those two work fine. I also have a Fanatec Clubsport shifter and a Thrustmaster TH8A shifter (as analoge handbrake) both with separate USB. And those two are recognized if I map the buttons but get deleted as soon as I exit the settings.
I am in the same boat.
Fanatec CSL Elite + Clubsport Pedals V3 + Clubsport Shifter + Handbrake V1.5, all connected to the wheelbase.
Then I have a Selfmade buttonbox connected to a seperate USB-port.
Experience the same thing: Some Buttons will not be saved propperly and become inaccesible during Gameplay. Telemetry for example.
I just came here to report the same thing only to find this thread with lots of people with the same problem.
My specific issues are:
The mapping for using my fanatec clubsport handbrake registers in the custom profile menu but when I save, and then exit the menu it loses it’s mapping and will not work back in the game.
I can’t turn the telemetry off after turning it on via the mapped steering wheel button. The maps for “telemetry next” and “telemetry previous” also do not work.
The gearbox grinds for no reason when shifting with the clutch, and even when the car is in neutral sometimes.
I’m using a G29 wheel and pedal set with the h-shifter and a fanatec clubsport handbrake on a seperate usb of course.
At the moment these issues are preventing my enjoyment of the game, so I really hope the devs take notice and can issue a fix before too long (please!)
Thanks,
Ninja.
EDIT: I’m also a little bit concerned that this problem isn’t tagged as “investigating”. A lot of us paid a LOT of money for this game and one would expect these kind of issues to not be present. I am willing to be patient but in my eyes this constitutes a refund as we have been sold something which is not fit for purpose. Advertised features are not available to us at this time. Like I said I’m willing to be patient but some kind of update from the devs or someone would help no end with this!
same feeling about this , I thought it would work after being told you could use multi inputs I didn’t see this being a problem , if I cant use my own setup then I would not have got this game as I can use my set up on older driving games , I am willing to wait but I am disappointed its not a cheap game and I am not willing to play with a controller only the setup I have .
Xbox-Pad working very fine but the game ignore my Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V3 settings.
Wheel (Thrustmaster TS-PC) is set propery but ingame its turning counterwise.
I know, i can turn the wheel counterwise during the setup but its not the solution.
WE NEED A UPDATE FOR THAT!
And informations which settings are intended for that wheel. In my case the Thrustmaster TS-PC
Same problem ! my th8a shifter not saving the bindings but the g29 wheel and pedals work ,
I am hoping this wont take along time to fix as people have said it was working on the demo so maybe its an easy fix . UPDATE PLEASE .
