If you are lucky enough to own an Xbox Series X then play on that. It runs smoother and crashes less frequently. Also, as a bonus, all the correct buttons are displayed on screen. There is however, one change that I’ve noticed, the rewind button is on X and not Y as it is on PC … Not that I use it
I literally cant play the game because the steering works, and pedals but the buttons cant be mapped and the device is not recognised right. I have even reinstalled the game. What a joke! Sony are laughing their heads off back to GT7 we all go i guess
I have the same problem with fanatec wheel, only keyboard bindings appear on screen.
I’m using a Logitech G923, and it works great. Except for every menu icon refering to the keyboard, - and not buttons on the wheel. Very confusing.
Windows 11, WinStore version of the game. I have a xbox gamepad-dongle connected, but the gamepad itself isn’t turned on.
Are other Logitech users having an issue where FFB randomly cuts out completely and steering becomes almost completely unresponsive for a few seconds at a time and then cuts back in? This is happening to me on my G29 and it makes the game unplayable.
I’m running the Game Pass version on PC (Win 10, 3.3GHz 6-core Xeon, 16GB RAM, RX 6600). I have both a (wired) keyboard and a wheel plugged in via USB - a Fanatec CSL DD base with McLaren GT3 v2 wheel.
The game recognizes the wheel - no issues there, all buttons work as expected, etc. My issue is that the on-screen button prompts show only keyboard buttons when I’m using my wheel. I can figure out that “enter” is the “A” button or “escape” is “B”. But things like “C” for Setup Manager or “R” for friends list are not so obvious and require either keyboard or mouse input to utilize (or i just have to randomly press buttons on the wheel until i find the corresponding button).
It would be nice if the on-screen prompts would switch to Xbox-style (ABXY, etc.) when the wheel is detected, especially since it’s a supported wheel and the wheel itself comes with Xbox-style button caps by default. I’d even settle for generic button numbers like 1,2,3,4 etc. (like how ACC and many other PC games do it).
Disclaimer - I’m not running the latest driver for my wheel (running v439 currently, v451 is the latest as I’m writing this). This is intentional, as later drivers introduced some undesired changes to how some of my peripherals function. So if my issue is a result of not having the latest driver installed, so be it, I’ll live with it. Otherwise, this would be nice to see fixed.
I have this same exact issue, no fix offered by users or logitech have worked, please fix this. Literally works with every other game literally ALL OF THEM just not fort-za. This issue doesn’t allow the wheel settings menu to come up it thinks its a console controller
Having the same issue. Upvoted
Same here PC User, using G29 logitech and it is not detected on forza. But when i try to use older drivers it is detected but controls is bad.
I have a G29 and I’m not sure if this will help but I always launch “Logitech G HUB” before playing the game. I don’t use Logitech Gaming Software anymore so I don’t know how well that one works. The Advanced Input menu also says controller for me so I assume that is intentional.
Voted. I also mentioned this a while ago in this post:
I"m good now, I uninstall logitech software, deleted registry and remove hid device for logitech g29. And then reinstall ghub, now it works great.
I have a Logitech G Pro Xbox setup and all I get is keyboard prompts….
Bump for visibility, this is still not fixed. On PC using G920 and all controls listed as keyboard/mouse buttons on screen.
This needs to happen. I use a Fanatec CSL DD with a WRC wheel. The steering wheel already has the Xbox buttons, but the game is asking for keyboard inputs. If nothing else, give us the option to use Xbox controller prompts with a steering wheel on PC.
Edit: I feel the need to add this. I am not asking for the game to detect my buttons and automatically map them for me. While that would be nice, I know that is a Herculean ask. What I am looking for is an option where I can match my bindings to controller prompts. That way when I need to press the “X” button to adjust my fuel and tires, I don’t have to decipher that from the game telling me to press the “F” key. Perhaps it could display “Press ‘X’/F key”?
