Wheel Calibration Option!

Thrustmaster 458 Spider wheel –

I know its a common issue for everyone with this wheel, but seriously, what gives!?I don’t care that the animation doesn’t match, I don’t use that view anyway, but if the game recognizes it as 240 degrees lock to lock then why does full (in game) steering occur at less than 90 degrees either direction on the wheel?? Even if you look at the wheels on an outside view of the car you only have to move the steering wheel about 75 degrees each way to hit full deflection. When you use the wheel in the xbox menu you have to turn it fully for the xbox to react( like pushing left or right on the d-pad or stick).

Does the game work correctly for a 900 degree wheel? On 900, 540 , and 270 settings? Or do you still get full in game turning at less than 90 degrees? Seriously, whats the point of the game recognizing that the wheel has 240 degrees of rotation and only actually using 65ish% of that full rotation?

Seems that there needs to be an IN-GAME WHEEL CALIBRATION OPTION so you can actually make full use of any given wheel. Just like most PC sim games have (at least flight sims)

I can drive just fine with it the way it is, and yes it makes the game more fun than with a controller, but it would be much better if I could actually steer a little more… and yes I have messed with sensitivity and all that but changing sensitivity on the physical wheel only changes the amount of exponential in the wheel (makes it softer around center), it does not change the amount of wheel travel to reach full steering…

I figured if I help all the others out and complain about it too, maybe the higher ups will take it into consideration at some point in time. It may be such a minor thing for TURN 10 (or whomever does the updates and fixes), that they know of the issues and don’t care to implement any fix for it but to those of us actually playing the game, sometimes the little things like this are very significant!

Also the drivitar thing is kind of annoying. Most of the time I can run with 1 and 2 with no issues on intermiadte-advanced settings but the fact that changing the difficulty doesn’t really do anything sucks! It seems to affect only 4-24 and not really 1-3… Especially since my wife likes to play here and there since I built the racing chair setup, but even on the easiest setting, which should be as it says" select this option if you have never played racing games", there’s not even a glimmer of hope that sh( or anyone really new to racing games) will get third or better. Maybe she should just play more hehehe… but seriously , how difficult it is to make hard, hard and easy, easy… every game since the beginning of time has managed that one…
