I loved playing infected in FH1 and was really looking forward to playing it in FH2. Very disappointed that all I could find was playground that forced me to play KING and not just INFECTED. I’am I missing something or is this my only option?
Infected is there but you’ve either got to hope the other people you’re paired with choose Road trips with infected events (you’ll still have to do the other 3 races) or do freeroam, set the event up yourself, and hope more than 1 or 2 people your paired with are there for the same thing.
I like races, not tag, myself, but we’re in sort of the same boat. It’s a crap shoot when you go online in FH2 whether or not you’ll get to play events you enjoy, unless you don’t care what the events will be. In that case I guess it’d be great. I was hoping they’d add event specifc hoppers later. Or, better yet, public custom lobbies, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
Interesting seeing peoples replies to this…
Ive a wife and two kids, job, taekwondo twice a week, various other after work/school activities so only really get a few hours (if that) on Friday nights I find this suits me down to the ground as it really keeps the game fresh for me. Some days I don’t even bother with the race, just buy a car, do it up a bit, then go off and find some great picture locations.
Being a VW nut, I have a picture of my blue rusting beetle, slammed to the floor, in the twilight, that for me makes the game, the fact you don’t have to race you can play at your own speed (no pun intended)
Some people enjoy the grind. I’m sure Red Bull, Monster, and many coffee producing nations are happy there are gamers who will go to great lengths to complete a game.
Myself, I’m a bit more lax. I complete games, I just do it on my own time. I don’t feel any sort of rush to finish them.
Most of the time when I turn on Horizon 2, I may not even compete in a race at all. I’ll pick a car, throw on some sport tires, and drive it to my hearts content. Or I’ll try to replicate some sort of old school Group A rally inspired build on a particular car and spend some time tuning it to my satisfaction.
I just like driving in this game, it’s quite fun.
That said, if completing the game 100% as quick as possible is a person’s goal, more power to them. There’ll be a lot more Rivals times for me to beat by the time I get there.
It really is an amazing game with tons with replay-ability. Based on how some of the menus look I would expect solo play content to be expended in down loads as well.
I love cars so to be able to kick back and just enjoy the ride in a car or two is nice. I once owned a VW Corrado (the only car I wish I had back) and just like to take it out and cruise some times. Or the F40, F12, SLR or any of dozens of other “fantasy cars” to cruise and make new wallpapers.
Even though I love to complete my games as much as possible, I’m not in any hurry to complete this. There’s so much to do and I’m just enjoying driving around.
To think i was going to swerve this game completely as i thought it wouldn’t be my bag LOL …. It’s only because project cars got delayed that i decided to give it a whirl the demo didn’t really do it for me either.
Bought game Saturday and i’m married with two kids and i don’t think iv’e played anything quite so addictive in a while Had a couple of days off work and guess what iv’e been doing LOL
Not sure the Mrs is that impressed but i’m just so glad iv’e got something fresh and new as Forza 5 as much as i love it was killing me with boredom !!! (Lack of tracks).
Some of these cars if you can find a good tuner thanks (G** Knucklehead) get completely transformed and are just awesome to drive !
Your’e right tho’ no rush i guess and i have a tendency to do a game to death altho’ saying that Forza 5 has lasted me a year (As you know games have been very slow)
Sussed out the online with a friend tonight and had some quality racing. I’m at level 50 odd and am loving the single player but will slow down a bit now to make this last a bit longer. Haven’t even really touched rivals.
Great game and one that should tide me over until Project Cars eventually arrives.
Hot Gemma - send me an invite if you can. Or I’ll try to find it tonight after the kids are in bed.
I was thinking about this thread last night. My progress tab showed 4 of 6 car shows found… So I drove the whole map around all 6 shows… Just drove. It was actually very fun
I did get the 10th barn find last night. I have to admit that was bitter sweet. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the barn finds. It would be cool if each DLC prompted another barn find. Or if on a given day each month another one popped up. I love the thrill of finding them and discovering what is in the barn… super cool
Sent a xbox invite, but there is a bug in the game at the moment , the club owner cannot add friends to clubs, the devs know about this tho,
just look for Gems in the clubs
thanks
( I hope I’m not off topic, I was helping a stranded player out )
