What's the best worst car?

I’m looking to upgrade a really bad car to being great. Looking to out pace a lot of people in fancy super cars in my little beat up piece of garbage. Doubt swearing it aloud on this forum :joy:. Can anyone help me?

Not very specific. Are you attempting to take a C or D all the way to S2 and expect to compete? I believe that was much easier in FH2 given the PI Index was much more in line. Right now, C Class missiles (+1,000HP, NO tires)…when you attempt to lay them all the way out…usually land in the middle of S1 or barely S2.

Try taking the '40Ford and laying it out at S1. It’s weird.

Celica ST205 makes a good build for most classes.

The answer is quite simple.

Look in c and d class and find what you think the worst car is.

Do awd swap, grab an engine swap that is v8-v12. And fill in the rest to your class of choice.

I like the GMC Syclone with the v10 engine.

In line with this thinking: I took a Chevy Bel Air, installed the bodykit, swapped in an AWD drivetrain, and downgraded the tires from race to sport. Maybe a few other minor tweaks to the parts that I don’t recall, but that lands it squarely in the S1 900 territory. Tuning was little more than adjusting the final drive ratio (Gearing) to let the car reach its proper top speed just around redline in 6th. This thing is unbeatable against drivatars in its category. Here’s a cut and paste from a text file where I’m keeping some records manually (Goliath lap time, average difficulty):

11:25.686 Bel Air S900
13:40.788 runner up

I saw one of the those real high on at least one leaderboard. I haven’t driven mine yet.

Vauxhall Astra? I don’t know if it’s good or not because I wouldn’t be caught dead in one. If I ever commit crimes against humanity, making me drive one for a year would be punishment enough.

It’s more for fun. Not for competing. Maybe something that’s going to compete in a drag rag. I started off with the the 93 Clio but it’s way too slow. So trying out other things. any other suggestions.

any old, lightweight, low class car can be turned into a falcon 9 rocket and stay in its class with a monster engine swap. The minute you touch tires it returns to normal.

The reliant seems like it would be a good choice. NO BODY KIT!

I like taking cars that are hard to drive stock and NOT upgrading them.

Loving the C2 vette ATM. That thing wants your whole family dead. It feels like driving a speedboat, very “floaty”, tricky to keep it stable and run a good line.

Crazy good fun.

Just one question, is the C2 trying to kill your family when they’re inside the car, or outside the car? And if inside, how are you getting them all in there? LOL

The Lancer Evo Mr and subaru 04 is an allrounder car for B, A and S1. Even on mixed surface/crosscountry.
Subaru 22b he too

A lot of the muscle cars can hold their own in the higher classes

I wouldn’t call them old or beat up but the Cadillac Escalade and HUMMER H1 WILL humiliate lambos and such in S class when tuned correctly its very satisfying
