What is Benchmark Mode?

The term “Benchmark Mode” was casually dropped in the press releases from Gamescom 2017 today.

Can anyone explain what this means?
My assumption is that it will analyze your PC hardware and make a settings recommendation. But, that is just an assumption.

Kinda wondering where I’m going to fall on the performance spectrum with my PC setup.

FX-8320 OC’ed to 4.3ghz
8gb RAM
GTX 970

Was hoping I wouldn’t have to spend a whole bunch of money to get to 4k@60.

Benchmark in PC games is a fixed scene that is used to test and compare the performance of different hardware at same or different quality settings.

Your PC is slightly more than the recommended Quality Target which is 1080p/60fps at Ultra settings.

I see 4K/maybe 60fps with tweaking settings in your future.

^FYI FTL: a 970 can do 4K/60fps in Apex 4K/30 in FH3

That CPU will mostly decide your fate OP.
