does quitting player races causes any trouble for the other players?
when i’m doing player races i usually quit the race if i miss a checkpoint cause i don’t like wasting time playing a race i know i can’t win, and i also don’t like losing
would be nice to have a proper abandon race option cause closing the whole game just to quit the race is very lame
I usually only quit if I get glitched, like the checkpoint respawn glitch or something like that. Or if something urgent comes up in real life. Even if I’m loosing, I at least keep trying until the race ends. Especially in co-op. It would take a really bad, unrecoverable event that I thought was completely unfair, or a bad serial griefer to make me quit otherwise, which is fairly uncommon. I mean, griefers are common, but it’s uncommon that one annoys me so bad that I want to quit a race.
To everyone else in the race, I think you get a DNF, and maybe drop to last place or something like that.
I’m pretty sure you can quit from the pause menu. I’ve done that before.
You cost them points, but since you only care about winning I don’t see what your point is to begin with.
Try the pause menu, it has a sore losers button so you don’t have to close out the game.
But never worry, if you ever see me ina race you’ll never be in last place, it’s win at a cost ragers that keep me happily running around in last place. It’s not fair to lose a race, so I do my absolute best to bring fainess to the game by officially declaring myself last place in all events.

Why are you wanting to quit if you miss a checkpoint? Did you not realize there is a rewind button? I generally don’t use it as I know I won’t win every race, but rewind can be helpful. Otherwise learn how to lose, it makes you a stronger person.
