What happens if you do a deal here and someone snipes the target car?

I see , unless you are a legendary tuner/painter, to get the value of the car people sell 'other less desirable cars ’ … to make up the difference

so you do a deal on a Capri FE for 1 million (just numbers) but you can only list for 200k
you sell the buyer some old junk up to 800k … then list the Capri and some bot gets in there and snipes it … they have 800k of junk and some A-hole has a bargain that they then list for 1 million

what happens if after all of that aggro someone does snipe the target car and gets a bargain … is it tough on the buyer ?

Yeah that is how a auction house works. So just be cautious when dealing with people. Most people from this site are genuinely trying to do whatever deal you make it just doesn’t always work out well

If you’re buying try to get the seller take partial payment up front then the balance after the deal if it doesn’t get sniped.
So a 10 mil deal. Swap GT40 back and forth once for 5 mil to the seller. Do deal for car. If deal goes through do another GT40 swap for the balance of 5 mil. If deal gets sniped both walk away, seller getting half their money and buyer is only out half their money. Seems fair. It’s how I sell stuff.

I’d do that only with someone I know, and we’ve made some previous deals.
Normally why would I risk having let’s say only 15 out of 30 mln for a Aston Martin DB11 PO which took me a very long time to find? People are aware that they can get sniped at any time, looking for any car and that’s normal for everyone I’ve traded with.

I can’t say why you would risk it, but I can say why I risk it. It takes a long time to track down cars. It also takes a long time to generate the money to buy the car. I feel I’m just being respectful of the buyer’s time investment as well and not treating them like a mark. It’s nice to be nice.
