What cars in Forza 5 have Vtec engines?

Which of the Honda’s and Acura’s in Forza 5 have Vtec engines?

Wow it gets better …

I’m gonna be nice today. All of them except the Indy cars. Now someone please shoot me before it kicks in… …yo.

Sorry.

Sorry.

Usually when someone asks about Vtec…yo. Its because of to many fast and furious movies and lack of car knowledge. Veriable Valve Timing is nothing new and in today’s world almost everything has it. So it has become a bit of a joke around here. Nothing personal.

It’s also worth mentioning that Honda’s Vtec system is archaic, cam phasing and oscillating cam systems are simply better systems. Rather than reving to a high RPM, and then being allowed to have a more powerful cam, these systems allow power to be adjusted for optimal performance throughout the rev range instead of having the engine be a complete pig until 6k.

Simply put, Vtec is a novelty at this point.

nverdict all the Honda cars have vtec in forza 5 and the 2.0L vvt engine conversion is the k20 engine im sure from the current 8th gen type r fn2 model and as for people in the forum saying its just vvt no cause vtec comes in many variants ie I VTEC-DVTEC-HYPER VTEC- VTEC TURBO-3STAGE VTEC AND AVTEC ALL DIFFRENT STYLES and all come into play at different rpm at the end of the day the amount of awards Honda won for vtec tells me it aint just basic vvt and also first company to break the 100 hp per liter mark in engines all down to a little thing called vtec (yes im a huge Honda fan incase you were wondering)

Getting slightly over 100 Hp per liter isn’t really that meaningful when it’s still just a 2 liter, the microscopic torque is also a problem. If we want to talk 2 liters with a lot of power, the 4G63 in the Mitsubishi FQ440 produces 202hp per liter instead of 106, and that actually has turbo lag, instead of having the turbo lag without the turbo.

However I do respect hondas for what they are, I respect them for being the engine that carries the Ariel atom with 300 horsepower, I respect them for creating the NSX, I’ll even go as far to say that I actually like the CRX’s. Do not think for a second what I’m saying is brand hate, I just feel that in their stock form, honda’s Vtec engines are inferior to other 2 liter designs.
