I’m new to Forza but i’ve made it to the 3rd tier or championship and have a little money saved up to play with a couple cars. 2 million to play with I’d like to get some recommendations on cars that are nice to drive.
With 800+ cars you’re going to find that is a very large question with very subjective answers
The races I’ve enjoyed the most (in my personal experience) are the hot hatch divisions and the NASCAR oval races. Forza GT was also pretty cool. My absolute favorite car in the game (1990 Mazda RX-7 Savanna) is a C-class, so i enjoy a lot of C-class racing as well.
I’ve found that skill level has a lot to do with what cars you’ll enjoy. When first starting with Forza, I hated the most cars in S-class and above, simply because I didn’t have the skill to drive them properly. Then as my skills improved, I found many S and R class cars that I enjoy. I’m still pretty far off from proclaiming any proficiency with P and X class though.
I generally like little cars. I really want a Microcars category. However, despite that, the most fun I’ve had in this game was a Vintage Off-road/SUV series where I drove the International Scout.
GT Reborn is an amazing Division imo
It is quite a difficult question you ask to have an answer for. For your choice of car you have to consider which class you actually enjoy, then start from there. Do you prefer awd, rwd, or fwd. Then figure out whether you enjoy grip cars or power cars. If you are good at building and tuning, you will have more choices because then you can start building your own cars specific to a certain track and all round cars. For the record I mainly race A Class and my favourite is the E36 FE with my all round tune
As others have mentioned, this is a really subjective question, so keep in mind that the cars one person enjoys may be completely intolerable to someone else. With that in mind, here are a few that I’d consider stand outs in the “enjoyable to drive” category:
'68 Abarth 595 - Rear-engine zaniness in a fun-sized package. It’s best homologated, but gets positively hilarious the higher you boost its PI.
'65 Alfa Romeo GTA - Possibly the best-looking car of all time, and it drives as good as it looks.
'16 Dodge Viper ACR - I’m not a big fan of modern GT cars (and that goes double for American ones), but this one was surprisingly driver-friendly.
'48 Ferrari 166MM - Perfectly well-mannered (if a little conservative) right out of the box. Haven’t messed around with upgrading/tuning it yet.
'09 Lotus 2-Eleven - The perfect Lotus. Lightweight, no frills, and handles immaculately.
'73 Porsche 911 - Great car in its stock form. Seems to lose a lot of its charm when you start upgrading it.
'98 TVR Speed 12 - I really expected this to be a hot mess, but it’s actually pretty controllable. Easier to drive than the Sagaris (which isn’t saying much).
I agree about the 2016 Viper ACR. That car is brutal in every sense of the word. Few American cars can boast that kind of raw power and nimble handling.
My favourite cars to drive:
Ferrari F355 Berlinetta
Ferrari F40 / F40 Competizione
Ferrari F50 / F50 GT
Honda NSX-R 1992 / 2005
Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3
Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau
Porsche 911 GT2 RS 2012
Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 2012
