What are you guys doing to squeeze out the most top speed in final gear?

,

I tried a tune with engine swap. Sounded dreadful, haha, but managed to hit 350kph.

That’s not realistic though. I don’t know why I’m hung up over this but it really bothers me. In Forza, the LaFerrari feels underpowered whereas IRL it flies past 350kph in stock form like it was nothing.

Bothers me!

Well, folks I’ve given up at this point. The LaFerrari just isn’t enjoyable to drive and push because it feels sluggish and underpowered. In every other racing game this car is featured in, it can top 360 kph or more, like the real life version.

I can only hope the devs address this.

This is basically how the bugged suspension works on the Porsche - No idea how many other cars it works on. tho.

I’ve absolutely NO idea what this post has to do with the topic of this thread.

Its how you get more vmax from vehicles in FM. You asked , he provided the solution.

Vmax?

Okay, explain please!

Maximum Velocity (i.e. top speed)

#1 Of the extra parts, I used the gearbox. Otherwise it is a factory car in which I changed the suspension settings etc for better grip. On the long straight at LeMans going 349-351.

#2 upd: Weight reduction + lightweight rims + rear bumper: +1km\h
#3 upd: I tried changing from night to clear daylight, gained: +1km/h.
#4 upd: A long straight line in Lehman in the opposite direction: +1km/h.

Thank you I will try this but doesn’t change the fact the car is underpowered compared to the real one.

Also, how do you set up tyre pressures for top speed?

Can you share a screen of your gear ratios? Sorry for the trouble!

Changing gear ratios or pressures alone will do nothing, every aspect of tuning is important. Wheel camber, spring stiffness, how the suspension handles bumps at speed to maintain and gain speed, etc. It’s only when you put it all together that it makes any difference.

On wikipedia and other resources it is stated that the maximum speed of this model is 350km/h.

I found a YouTube video of this car going 360-370km/h, but in the description of the video:

"LA Ferrari 950HP its acceleration is same as Bugatti Veyron in terms of Acceleration and top speed won’t be different too if got a serious mods to support that Speed.

top speed without limiter 380 km/h but there are a risk of tyres rate."

I.e. it’s a modified version, and such speeds are life-threatening because the tyres may not hold up. Therefore, I don’t see any problem in the fact that in the game the car goes 350km/h, which are declared for it.

The game’s car most certainly does NOT go 350 kph. If it does, then that’s through parts and tuning, not stock.

The stock version in the game barely does 340 kph

Yes, the standard version struggles to hit 340, with some tweaks (without installing parts) I got a stable 345, maybe it’s possible to get more, I don’t know.

The standard car settings in forza have always been bad, and to get the best performance you had to tune them (even if without installing parts). Inaccuracies are not a problem with a particular ferrari, that’s how ALL cars in this game work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If this game was really being built from the ground up, perhaps these things would have been better implemented, but we got what we got.

The best I’ve managed so far after your advice is 350 kph. It will just sit there and doesn’t want to move past that no matter how much I tune the settings.

Will you look at that? The real thing absolutely smashes past 350 kph like it was peanuts. No parts, no upgrades, all stock. And that cabin sound… :pinched_fingers:

Would be absolutely overjoyed if the developers work on correcting the top speed in 7th gear and get the active aero to work as it does on the RL car. Both these aspects were correct in FM5.

I know it’s just one car and my silly little request but such a desirable car to drive. Sounds very close to the actual one now and I would love the performance characteristics to be more accurate too. One car at a time, would really hope to see the game consistently improve.

Right, so what do you think are the ideal or optimal settings for the LaF in terms of suspension tuning and tire pressure to reach the top speed quickly and keep it there? Are you on stock tires with stock width?

Might also help if you share your gear ratio setup. Mine still won’t go beyond 349 kph on Mulsanne straight! It just remains stuck there for several seconds until I have to tap the brakes for the upcoming sharp right hander.
