Weird lighting glitch in Cockpit view

So, back in Horizon 3 I noticed that some cars have a rather weird lighting glitch in Cockpit view.
Sometimes the world would seem massively over- or sometimes underexposed, which gave a feeling of driving in the evening, when it was actually noon and vice versa.
Personally, I’m using Cockpit view like 90% of the time, so I abandoned some cars like the Aventador SV, because it had this lighting glitch the most severe.

In Horizon 4, the underexposing-glitch seems to have gone from what I’ve seen in the demo. However, the overexposing-glitch somewhat remains.
The below screenshots show a comparison between the Chase-, Hood- and Cockpit-view:

If you look at the sky, the road and the trees you can clearly notice that both of them are more exposed in the Cockpit view, making shadows and darker areas look somewhat unnatural.
In some scenarios this overexposure is more noticable than in others, especially when the sun is shining right into the cockpit.

On an HDR display this difference is even more striking, so sometimes the roads appear like they’re white instead of a darker grey.

I’d be glad if someone could clarify whether this is in fact a glitch or rather some sort of a design decision.

yes i`m having the same problem , in the cockpit it is just overly bright i thought it was brightness settings but its not

Maybe something they did so the cockpit can be seen better, not needed for a HDR display, but maybe SDR was too dark.

I prefer the dark, under-exposed view in FH3 and FM7. Forza games have way too much exposure in all views any way.

To each their own, but the underexposed view in FH3 really gave me a feeling of driving during a solar eclipse for most of the time.
But in general, I agree that most Forza games are somewhat way to bright, especially FH2.

Kinda don’t understand why the Horizon games have this issues more severely, while the Motorsport games mostly seem to get the exposure right.

I agree, I hated the too-dark view in FH3. When going through the forest in low-light situations, I felt like I was driving at night with no headlights. I desperately wished there was a manual headlight button in FH3.
