I was just playing the S Class Ghost league (Enthusiast Division) and on Mazda Raceway, a guy who wasn’t even in the lobby (literally unlisted) finished two laps and like 35 seconds ahead of everyone and ended the game super early. People were getting heated over this because he wasn’t even on the track, nor in the pre or post-game lobby. Even weirder, the game won’t let me upload the replay, but I have it saved for when it does decide to work. I checked my recent players list right after the race and it had the offending player listed as having played with me a whole 7 minutes earlier, meaning he hadn’t been in my lobby for like 1-2 games.
This happened twice with different people tonight, both top 10% leaderboard players, on two different tracks (can’t remember the first one).
I think there must be some sort of undiscovered (at least at large) exploit where you can back out of a lobby, but still remain in the queue and take 1st every race, 24/7 because I’m also noticing some players are constantly increasing their scores 24/7 x100 in every single league, simultaneously…it’s like they don’t sleep and are in every lobby at all times, lol. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but it makes no sense, especially since it keeps happening.
Let me know if this is happening to you, as well…reply below.
I also came across this issue a few days ago; Lap 2/10 at Hockenheim (B-Class Sim, Pinnacle) the race suddenly ends with only 1 person finishing.
Yes, exactly! It’s ruining everyone’s scores while these exploiters are dominating the scoreboards. It’s truly unfair and needs investigating by Turn 10. I know something similar was happening not too long ago with people complaining of invisible cars, or people who sit at the starting line taking first. That issue was assumed to be lag/latency, but was never truly figured out. I think these issues may be related, but this is a big problem seeing as how T10 likes to award things via league positions. With exploits like this, nobody will be winning fair and square.
It honestly can’t be lag, though, because only 1-2 people would experience this at a time, and they would be the ones lagging out. When multiple lobbies of 10-23 people are being DNF’d while 1 person continuously takes 1st by billions of laps ahead, this begins to lean more into the exploit territory.
Seen this happen in the hoppers occasionally, so it’s not just leagues.
I had it happen in a drift lobby and a B Class lobby, but didn’t know what it was at the time. In leagues it seems more pronounced, I don’t know why. Haven’t had it happen in regular hoppers since those two times a couple of months back.
It’s just annoying because it messes up the leaderboards, which ruins challenges because these people are winning free stuff through exploits and glitches.
