Hello everybody, welcome to Weekend Class Racing.

Weekend Class Racing is a clean weekend racing group based around Forza’s class racing.
Here we do traditional class racing without the general hopper annoyances such as cheaters and rammers, or awful track picks that just don’t work.
People of all ages and skill levels are allowed in so long as they behave themselves and race clean.

We race every Sunday at 10:00 AM PST (19:00 CEST).
Invites to the lobby will be sent out within 10 minutes after it starts.
Lobbies have 6+ races and will last about 2 hours. Each race is 5-7 minutes long.
The final race for all sessions will be at the Nordschleife in the dry.

We have a scoring system in order to encourage competition.
For every additional place you gain, you also gain 2 points. However if you get DNF’d, get a DNS, or finish 12 or lower, you won’t get any.
The results for every session will be posted in the discord server and the winner will be displayed.

We also have a small list of gamemodes in order to make the racing more interesting.
One is the Spec Challenge. It is a unique challenge where all cars have at least one spec in common. For example, you may be running only 4 cylinder cars in B class, or cars with a weight over 3,500 lbs. in A class. There are more different restrictions you can have for this event but those were just a few examples.
We will also be doing Endurance and Multiclass racing every once in awhile, given there are enough people around for it.

In Weekend Class Racing we use discord for pretty much everything, such as race announcements & info, voice chat, conversations, and more. While it isn’t required to join, it is highly recommended you do.
As for voice chat, you do not have to speak, you only have to be able to hear other drivers, including the host.

If you are getting pinged too much, you can choose to opt out of notifications by assigning yourself a specific role.

When you join, be sure to read over the rules and other important info so that you are more in the know.
Also be sure to friend all of the admins as they are all lobby hosts, that way they can invite you easily. Feel free to reach out to them if you have any questions.
When you friend them, be sure to message them, tell you who you are, and why you friended them. Otherwise you could very well just be written off as another random friend request.

New races this weekend, here’s what we got.

By the way, since then a handicap system has been introduced. It applies power, grip, or both handicaps to cars which are far better than the rest, such as the C9 in P class.

On Saturday we have C & B Class Multiclass Racing.
And on Sunday we have S Class Team Racing.

Next week were hosting Cycled Production on Saturday. It’s like the hopper in FM6 but it covers more tracks and more cars. Also because the hopper currently doesn’t exist, as cycled division took its place instead. If you are unfamiliar, it is stock car racing, basically. Except the car and track change with each race.

If you’re familiar with the Cycled Production hopper from FM6, this is a recreation of that. This time, it covers every track in the game (not all configurations), and also features weather.
For those unfamiliar with it, it is essentially spec racing. The difference is, the car and track change with each race, and you’re racing completely stock cars. So it is all down to driver skill. So if you think you’d enjoy that, consider joining the race on Saturday.

It is B class, yes, but all cars must be AWD. So you will not be able to use RWD or FWD cars here. Other examples of the ‘Specifics Challenge’ include restrictions based on weight, power, brand, and more.

A regular R class race but with tripled lap counts, fuel and tire wear, a quickstop, and qualifying!

A field of racers in micro cars race against eachother while trying to avoid a separate field of rammers. Racers who finish last in their group are converted into rammers until there are no racers remaining.

It is a fun minigame that is all about the crazy launches and the silly “racing”. Anything goes, really. So you may win by any means necessary.
Next week we will return to the regular racing and there will be a major change to lobbies, more on that next week. Hope to see you guys there!

As of this week the lobbies are undergoing a change. Races are now on Saturdays only. There are still two lobbies though, one at 12:00 PM PDT (21:00 CEST) (Lobby 1) and another at
6:00 PM PDT (3:00 CEST) (Lobby 2).
This was done in an effort to make the two lobbies a bit better, larger, and overall more consistent.

Last Man Standing has also been removed as a monthly “race” and will live on as an end-of-lobby minigame like Cat and Mouse.
Last Man Standing was replaced by ABCs, Endurance, and Cycled Production. So said gamemodes listed are no longer available week-by-week, and now only monthly.
