Destroy What Ya' Brung [Event: Destruction Derby] - [Date: TBD @ ~11:00 PM EDT]

Hello everyone since we have no public user created lobbies I guess we’re forced to post on the forums to get racers for specific events. I’d like to host RWYB lobbies for drag runs and/or circuit runs.

The only restrictions would be cars must be A Class and no exotic cars. There is no limit on HP, AWD,RWD setups..

Add me on XBL or leave a comment on this thread if you’re interested.

Update: 1/25/15: Will be hosting another event in the open space track where you can bring any car/class (no SUV) and basically wreck each other until your car dies. After a few of these we can then do some drag runs on the airport strip.

Definitely interested!!!

Run What Ya’ Brung Honda/Acura - Drag Lobby 12/23 @ ~10:30PM EST

Course: Old LeMans
Distance: 1/4, 1/2, Mile Drag runs. (Let’s just have fun!)

This is my first time hosting one of these so you’re just going to have to bear with me. Hope to see you there.

I have to work early on the 24th otherwise I’d be interested. Been pretty reluctant to play alot online, play with friends and people I actually know. There are alot of mouthy cocky people out there and I’m not a fan, lol. I have been wanting to get more into some drag racing. I have built a whole bunch of cars. Have a couple in Dayton all the way to S. Pretty much your standard drag cars, RWD. A couple oddball for fun. I have a couple ideas of what I was building, as far as different classes. Just curious, since there are no leaderboards for drag, what kinda times you will be or have been running. I suck with the clutch, so until I get that down I will be a lil bit slower. But curious anyway.

Actually I’m not that into drag racing, I prefer to drive on the circuit so I’m kind of new to this also. I just see that alot of people want to run mostly drag racing so i figured I might as well put something together and have fun with people on the forums.

No one will be judging you dude this is all for fun no matter skill level. We’re all grown here. If this ends up being as fun as I picture in my head I’ll update this thread with the new event info etc… In the mean time though you can add me on XBL.

Hey, wasnt implying you guys aren’t cool people. Lately, people I have met have been really cool. All i can say is COD lobbies have made me a private party kinda person, lol!

Sounds good man. I will say that when I tune for the drags, I usually use the test track, the wide open one. Still get the full wheelie launches, lol. Anyway, I’m cool with seeing what we can do. I’ll add ya when I get home. I know alot of people that want to do the all wheel drive crazy Stradale kinda drag. Not a huge fan of that, not that it doesn’t have its place. I just would rather run what you’d see on like street outlaws or a local drag track somewhere.

Cool, i’m in. I’ll try to get some other peeps to join us(dont have that many Forza 6 buddies)

Sounds good to me.

Thought maybe I’d run my classes or divisions for drag racing past you guys. These are how I have been building and tuning my drag cars to race with my friends and so far it has kept things close and fun. So here are the FHRA or Forza Hot Rod Association (I’m sure someone has already used that, sorry if that’s the case!) brought to you by Maxwell’s Speed Shop. I fully admit to being a dork about forza, lol!

D and C Class “Street Stock”
-3200lbs minimum weight
-NO 5.9 or RACING engines
-Normally aspirated
-STOCK tire compound 255 (10") max drive tire width
-STOCK suspension, CAN reduce weight to minimum
-SPORT transmission, final drive only
-Finish build to D400 max or C500 max. Some will not go all the way to full 400 or 500.

B Class “Super Stock”
-2800lbs minimum
-NO 5.9 or RACING engines
-Normally aspirated
-SPORT transmission, final drive only
-STOCK suspension, CAN reduce weight to minimum 2800lbs
-SPORT tire compound 295 (11.5") drive tire max
-Finish build to B600 max, many won’t max out in this either

A Class “Pro Stock”
-2000lbs minimum
-NO 5.9 or RACING engines
-ANY Aspiration
-ANY suspension
-ANY drag compound tire

  • finish build to A700 max, again, most won’t max out

S Class “Pro Mod”
-1500lbs minimum
-build to S800 max
-this weight and PI max should keep things close and competitive and help keep rediculous cars out. I have no problem with having an unlimited, whatever you want to try to drive class for all the AWD Alfa people, I just prefer to keep things close and somewhat realistic. Also, NO TRACTION CONTROL. No assists. I am still learning how to use the clutch, but other than that, I use no assists. For me, that’s the only way to make it a challenge, fair and fun.

Anyway, that what I have been doing. I have a few tunes shared already. Have no idea if they are any good or not. I do have a tune for each class D-A for the '70 Chevelle if you’d like an example of what I’m doing. I usually just tune and drive around in test drive on the “open” airport track. You can sorta get an idea time wise if you eyeball the lap timer and start at the drag starting line. There are lines for 1/4 & 1/2 miles on the runway.

Prolly won’t be able to make tomorrow’s event, gotta crash early that night, but will be looking out for the next one. Hopefully I will have a couple others with me.

You broke everything down nice! Hey there is nothing wrong with being a Forza dork… Haha

I’m going to have to take a look at this list and try to tune my cars towards these specs when I get a chance. For now though I’m just going to run it with very little restrictions so people can just race with whatever they have. Let me know what I should search for to look up your tunes. Hope to see you in the next event!

Forgot, race differencials in all of them, D through S.

As long as I don’t mess up, everything I share, I save with MSS as the 1st 3 letters of the file name or discription always starts with Maxwell’s Speed Shop’s. Prolly easiest to just use my gamertag and follow. I don’t at all claim to be the fastest or have the best tunes, but I don’t post anything that I don’t think is at least fun for what it is. I just love the building, painting and seeing what you can get out of something. I have maybe 6 different tunes for a few cars and they all are separate cars with separate paintjobs. That to me is the best of forza. The worst is the leader board, or lack of access to the existing leaderboards for drag, all the stuff for the drag and drift people that should be in the games. Oh well, at least we can do all this! Have fun, if ya have any thoughts on anything you try, give me a shout. Always up for some feedback.

I’m interested in this. I got back into Forza not too long ago and I need to find some chill people to race with. I have always wanted to do drag races. I’m still kind of a novice on Forza but I play to have fun. Add my gt which is the same as my username. Hopefully to see you all tonight!
