We need the ability to disable crossplay once again

We don’t need an option to disable crossplay. PC cheaters are the minority not the majority from that platform, I don’t feel lowering the player base is a fair and correct move. What I would say is that what we need is a more efficient anti cheat built into the game.

I play online cross platform with friends, and I’m a TT group where I rely on getting Rivals from all platforms.

The anti cheat needs to be stronger, disabling crossplay is just avoiding the problem.

I still don’t understand why people are acting like us who want to disable crossplay are forcing it on everyone else?? We just want the option disable it for ourselves. No one is saying if we turn it off it turns it off for you. Please stop bringing that up. Its not a universal fix, it’s an option for those who wanna utilize it. PG doesn’t have a great track record of fixing problems, so we’d prefer to avoid that part of the game.

Fair point when you put it like that. I agree. Seems easy enough and simple to do without forcing any change onto anyone.

No one here is naive enough to believe that PC doesn’t have an advantage. There will be less people playing the game 6 months from now under cross-play than if consoles users are given the ability to choose to play on a level platform.

I’m curious what advantages do PC players have over console players in this car racing game?

Most PC players use a controller so it can’t be that.

The XSX has fast load times so can’t be that.

The XSX has low wireless controller latency so can’t be that.

Mid level OLED tvs have similar latency to monitors so can’t be that.

I would even go as far to say that currently the game is optimized more for XSX than PC. Although I expect this to be short lived once the issues plaguing PC are fixed. In any case I think performance mode on XSX is sufficient and that there would be little to no advantage of unlocking 4k at higher than
60fps.

I’m in the top 1% of top 1% best drivers and I could not imagine playing this game on a PC and playing better than I do on my XSX with a controller.

At the least, Microsoft ought to correct the description of the Xbox account setting which claims to let you choose to opt out of playing with people on other platforms like PC, but doesn’t really mean what it literally says. If I didn’t know better I’d think Microsoft deliberately leaves it like that so people are pacified and think they have a choice.

I’m a PC player so it doesn’t affect me personally, but I do think people should have a choice. And if they don’t, Microsoft shouldn’t use misleading language to imply that they do.
