I would just like to point out for the record not all pc users cheat or hack, and it annoys us legit pc users just as much that a minority gives the majority of pc players a bad name. Peace out.
On a more serious note, has anyone actually tried to disable cross-play on XBox based on the method suggested in this thread? Does it actually work? Do you notice the difference in queue times for online racing, eliminator, team games etc?
Per my reply above and elsewhere earlier in another thread. I did. It does (or seems to). I have, initially at least.
The queue times have climbed again, but not as long as they used to be yet. More importantly for me what I have noticed most is all the magic flying cars are gone. Iâm actually finding Eliminator playable instead of pointless and not constantly loading me into a game with a list of scrolling players getting car drops to level 7, 8, 9âŚ
What option do legit pc players have so they donât have to play wirh/against those pc players that cheat or hack, what makes console players think they are only the ones who shouldnât have to play with/against other cheating and hacking players.
I wonder that myself lol. They must consider emselves the âkingsâ of gaming or something muhahahaha. People still didnt realize the game is exactly the same on PC and consoles. In fact the only differences are UI related changes for obvious reasons. Thats all.
I donât think console players are saying they are the only ones who shouldnât have to play with/against cheating hackers. Just that there is * an option that console players have to avoid the bulk of it. An albeit kludgy work around. It sucks that honest PC players donât have the option. Ultimately (imo) itâs down to MS and the game not detecting and acting against the cheaters and hackers in any meaningful way.
âŚor there may be, as suggested if itâs all through XBL anyway then I dunno, all I can say with certainty is before I turned off cross-play the amount of blatant cheating and hacking I witnessed was huge and since (presumably) cutting the PC side out of the loop Iâve seen little to none of it, just a couple suspect instances that might be down to bad servers / connection issues.
