I checked out the demo last night, and man I can not wait to get my hands on the full game. Everything from the clean graphics, solid car handling, sounds, and cinematics was very entertaining. My only gripe is that which bothered me in the previous horizon game. The replay videos… you guys just did a copy and paste, same camera angles, and you have to manually change the cameras. I was hooping that in this game that you would have fix it so that 1. The camera randomly changes for you, and 2. gave it the same cinematic feel the rest of the game has.
Here’s to hoping we can get a small patch to address this. It’s just with the gorgeous environment you created, it would be nice to get a replay video that is something similar to games like Dirt series and even Forza motorsport series.
Wow… Really the reply videos is your only grip? This is why the developers never address the main game issues… Because 95% of the users are tickled pink and only care about the reply cameras. No disrespect to SkillZ… Just making a point.
His beef is legit, the Horizon replays have always been woeful without the benefit of Motorsport’s static trackside cameras. I would suggest at least pulling a few of them back (in most you can’t see much else besides your car) and loosenining the connection between camera and car (currently it can look like the car is static and the terrain is moving). Small gripes for sure but they’re real and have loads of room for improvement.
This would not be a small patch. While i agree it wouldve been nice to have especially on predetermined tracks where cameras could be placed at certain spots, but its not gonna happen. This would also be considered a feature request so you should post this with the list of other things that wont be implemented in this game.
Exactly, It just seems like they improved on everything else, why couldn’t they improve the replay system as well. Even without the patch for this, I’m still going to absolutely drop some serious hours into it.
I see that this is an older discussion but I noticed the lacking replays too so I thought I would bring an idea over here too, since Drones are all over Horizon 3, why can’t some stationary Drones be used as trackside cameras? I know it would probably take a long time but it would make sense with the whole festival feel
