Volvo 242 Turbo - Inline-5 and V8 swaps

I would love to see the 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution to get the following swaps added:

  • 2.3 inline-5 turbo from the 1997 Volvo 850 R:
    This is a well known swap for the Volvo 240’s. So much even that you can easily find tutorials for it online. It would make the 242 a lot more fun to race around with this engine than with the current inline-4 or the M3 and Supra swaps.

  • Chevrolet LS V8 swap:
    Either the 5.7 V8 from the 1995 Corvette ZR-1 or the 2002 Corvette Z06. Either way, it’s also a well known swap for the 240’s. There are plenty that have V8’s from different cars. I’ve found Chevrolet and Ford swaps online. Any V8 will do imo as long as it’s appropriate with how it’s done irl, but an LS is the best I think. It would make for fun, realistic builds. I think that it can be a fun drift and drag machine with a V8!

A third option is to add the Polestar V60 inline-6. I don’t know if it’s possible irl but this is Forza and I think it would turn the 242 into a fun restomod!

Totally agree, lots of people are putting 5 cylinder 850 engines in their custom 240:s, and other rwd drive Volvos that lack this great engine from the factory, it was an engine swap during the 360 era, so can`t understand why it was removed.
