Virtual Motorsports enters the world of GT Racing in our latest Forza 5 Series, which offers a very different take on the usual 8 week racing series we have all become accustomed to. The Virtual Motorsports Challenge Series 1 invites all participants to compete using all four selected GT models, but will leave the choice of who races what entirely down to the choice of you, the racer. The only rule for car choice is that the VM Challenge Series 1 builds are adhered to and that each model is used a maximum of twice throughout the Series per person.
Racing on Forza Motorsport 5 on Mondays at 19:00 CDT / 01:00 BST / 11:00 AEST, the series will feature iconic racing circuits from around the world, starting at the iconic Australian racetrack at Mount Panorama, Bathurst. It’s straight off to Europe for the second leg of the Series as we head to the newly announced Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit, followed by Spa-Francorchamps for Race 3. Not content with epic iconic circuits? Race 4 takes us to Le Mans circuit de la Sarthe as we let the GT engines open right up on the Mulsanne Straight. Silverstone Grand Prix will host the final European circuit for Race 5 before jetting off to the US for Race 6 at Road Atlanta Full. Race 7 will take us to Road America before we close the Series at the street circuit of Long Beach Grand Prix!
Series 1 will feature 3 championships to contest, with all drivers being entered into at least 2. All drivers will participate in the Drivers Championship but away from this, they will also do battle in either the Teams or Privateers Championship, depending on their entry situation.
Working alongside Turn 10, the series is officially sponsored and will feature DLC and in-game credits to be won by the drivers. Those skilled, or lucky enough to finish in the top 10 of the Drivers Championship will earn themselves a share of the credits available. As well as one lucky participant selected at random who has completed at least 7 out of 8 races overall will win a Forza 5 DLC Code of his choice.
Series 1 of VM Challenge event will begin on the 7th July with the series finale on the 25th August. 8 rounds of racing the GT cars whilst being able to sample all 4 beautiful machines without the fear of choosing the ‘right’ car for all 8 weeks, let the Challenge ensue!
